Dean's Message

Welcome to the Faculty of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur. I am honored to serve as the Dean of this distinguished Faculty and to lead our collective efforts in veterinary medical education, patient care, community outreach and research as we continue to strengthen our role in each of these important mission areas.

Our primary objective is to contribute to the socioeconomic development of South Punjab by providing quality education, advancing innovative research and serving the community through excellent diagnostic services, clinical care and knowledge sharing. With the continued support of our highly qualified research-oriented faculty and the University administration, we strive to provide outstanding learning experiences that prepare graduates to address the challenges directly affecting our region and the livestock sector.

The Faculty of Veterinary & Animal Sciences is committed to becoming a leader in the "One Health" approach by addressing diseases that affect both humans and animals. Our research focuses on significant health challenges, including influenza and tick-borne diseases, while strengthening collaboration with the Livestock and Dairy Development Department, Punjab, for the establishment of a Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD) Free Zone in South Punjab. This initiative is expected to enhance the country's meat exports and contribute significantly to regional economic development.

I am confident that through dedication and hard work, you will successfully complete your academic journey. Throughout your studies, you will receive every possible academic and professional support required for your success.
