Faculty of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences

Dean’s Message

The Faculty of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences was constituted in 1975 with the name of Faculty of Medicine and again made functional in 2020. The faculty has two colleges, University College of Conventional Medicine established in 2000 and Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan Abbasi Post Graduate Medical College started in 2014. Faculty also started new departments such as Department of Physical Therapy, Department of Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Department of Public Health, Department of Forensic Science, Department of Medical Laboratory Technology and University College of Nursing. 
The University College of Conventional Medicines is offering two programs i.e., Bachelor of Eastern Medicines and Surgery (BEMS) and Bachelor of Homeopathic Medical Sciences (BHMS). Moreover University College of Conventional Medicine is also offering two M. Phil programs (i.e. M. Phil Eastern Medicine and M. Phil Phytomedicine) and two Ph.D. programs i.e. Ph.D. Eastern Medicine and Ph.D. Phytomedicine. The Post graduate medical college is offering M. Phil Pharmacology and M. Phil Physiology for medical doctors, pharmacists and many more relevant graduates. The faculty has foreign and national qualified Ph.D. and post doctorate teaching faculty. Faculty of Medicine & Allied Health Sciences provides very good opportunity for students to be graduated and become master from here.
The Faculty of Medicine & Allied Health Sciences is committed to academic excellence in medical, physical and nursing education. It caters for the urgent need for community oriented, competent, dedicated and above all caring medical specialists, conventional medical doctors, physical therapists, laboratory technologist and nurses who through comprehensive understanding and acquisition of relevant skills can deal with the health problems of the people. The mission of the Faculty is to advance the health by delivering allied health educational programs needed to prepare allied health professionals to serve as members of the health care delivery system and provide high quality, contemporary clinical care in the allied health disciplines and outreach to underserved populations.
