At the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar, Vice Chancellor combines academic excellence with national goals. We shape both the mind and the character of students to become tomorrow's successful professionals, leaders and service providers. Our strategy is to focus on quality of human capital and productive research based on four priority areas: academic excellence, financial discipline, infrastructural development, research benefitting people and the country.

Modern universities now face the challenges of increased numbers and raised stake holders’ expectations. The university is driving the process of knowledge transfer, business development and technology enhancement into the heart of the economy of Southern Punjab. The IUB is fully engaged to drive the regional economy and society. The Public Relations Office is play pivotal role in highlighting the university nationally and internationally on various medias.
