The Department of Economics, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar Campus, is committed to excellence in economic education, research, policy analysis, and the development of analytical and quantitative skills. The Department provides students with a strong foundation in economic theory, applied economics, econometrics, and research methodology, complemented by practical, computational, and policy-oriented training.
The Department offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs, with faculty expertise spanning Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Econometrics, Development Economics, International Economics, Monetary Economics, Public Economics, Environmental Economics, Agricultural Economics, Financial Economics, and related interdisciplinary fields.
Through quality teaching, modern statistical and econometric software, data-driven methods, and research-oriented learning, the Department develops graduates equipped with rigorous economic reasoning, quantitative analysis, critical thinking, problem-solving, and evidence-based decision-making skills.
