Vice Chancellor IUB visits Gujrat Chamber of Commerce and Industry

Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, accompanied by officers of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and senior members of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Bahawalpur, visited the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry. On this occasion, he called on the President of Gujarat Chamber of Commerce, Chaudhry Waheed ud din and the executive members and discussed collaboration in industrial and commercial projects and internships between the two institutions. President Bahawalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Chaudhry Tanveer Mehmood, Vice Presidents, Muneeb Malik, Ghulam Farid, Naseer Ahmed Nasir, Director Affiliation, Islamia University of Bahawalpur Prof. Dr. Munir Ahmed and Director Career Development, Shahid Durrani was present on the occasion. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Vice Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur also called on Vice Chancellor University of Gujarat Prof. Dr. Shabbir Atiq and discussed cooperation in teaching and research between the two institutions. It was also agreed to establish links between the two universities at the faculty and student level. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob addressed the executive body on the occasion of his visit to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. On this occasion, he had a special talk on the links and importance between industry and academia. He said that the academy could not only provide the best manpower for innovation in the industry and global competition but also provide innovative ideas. The President of Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry thanked the Vice Chancellor and his delegation for their visit to the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry and reiterated the memorandum of understanding in Bahawalpur and assured his full cooperation. Haji Nisar Mehmood Group Leader and members Ghulam Muhammad, Imtiaz Kausar, Qamar Khurshid, Mirza Altaf Baig also addressed on the occasion. The Vice Chancellor accompanied by the delegation also visited various industrial establishments including Khurshid Fan, GFC Fan, Hameed Ceramics and Furniture and Pipe Industry Companies.

پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور نے جامعہ اسلامیہ کے افسران اور ایوان ہائے صنعت و تجارت بہاولپور کے سینئر ممبران کے ہمراہ گجرات چیمبر آف کامرس اینڈ انڈسٹری کا دورہ کیا۔ اس موقع پر انہوں نے گجرات چیمبر آف کامرس کے صدر وحید الدین اور ایگزیکٹو ممبران سے ملاقات کی اور دونوں اداروں کے مابین تدریسی اور تحقیقی اشتراک عمل، صنعتی و تجارتی منصوبوں اور انٹرینیورشپ کے حوالے سے تبادلہ خیال کیا گیا۔ وائس چانسلرکے ہمراہ صدر بہاولپور چیمبر آف کامرس اینڈ انڈسٹری چوہدری تنویر محمود، نائب صدور منیب ملک،غلام فرید، نصیر احمد ناصر، ڈائریکٹر ایفیلیشن اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر منیر احمد اور ڈائریکٹر کیریئر ڈویلپمنٹ شاہد درانی موجود تھے۔اس موقع پر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور نے وائس چانسلر یونیورسٹی آف گجرات پروفیسر ڈاکٹر شبیر عتیق سے بھی ملاقات کی اور دونوں اداروں کے درمیان تدریس و تحقیق میں تعاون پر تبادلہ خیال کیا گیا۔ دونوں جامعات کے مابین فیکلٹی اور طلبا کی سطح پر روابط قائم کرنے پر بھی اتفاق ہوا۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب نے ایوان ہائے صنعت و تجارت کے دورے کے موقع پر ایگزیکٹو باڈی سے خصوصی خطاب کیا۔ اس موقع پر انہوں نے انڈسٹری اور اکیڈیمیا کے مابین روابط اور اہمیت پر خصوصی گفتگو کی۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ صنعت میں جدت اور عالمی سطح پر مقابلے کے لیے اکیڈیمیا نہ صرف بہترین افرادی قوت فراہم کر سکتی ہے بلکہ نت نئے آئیڈیاز بھی فراہم کر سکتی ہے۔ صدر چیمبر آف کامرس اینڈ انڈسٹری گجرات نے وائس چانسلر اور ان کے وفد کا گجرات چیمبر آف کامرس اینڈ انڈسٹری کے دورے پر شکریہ ادا کیااور بہاولپور میں ہونے والی مفاہمتی یاداشت کا اعادہ کرتے ہوئے اپنی جانب سے بھرپور تعاون کا یقین دلایا۔ اس موقع پر حاجی نثار محمود گروپ لیڈر اور ممبران غلام محمد، امتیاز کوثر، قمر خورشید، مرزا الطاف بیگ نے بھی خطاب کیا۔ وائس چانسلر نے وفد کے ہمراہ مختلف صنعتی اداروں کا بھی دورہ کیا جن میں خورشید فین، جی ایف سی فین، حمید سرامکس اور فرنیچر و پائپ انڈسٹری کے ادارے شامل تھے۔
