The Islamia University of Bahawalpur has decided to implement a special semester in summer this year

Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has said that the semester in the best international universities of the world consists of 6 to 18 weeks. Summer semester is also prevalent in all these universities. The Islamia University of Bahawalpur has decided to implement a special semester in summer this year. In this regard, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Syndicate approved the rules and regulations and the university has decided that the students who have completed the third and seventh semesters in spring 2023, for them, the fourth and eighth semesters will be special semesters which will be offered in summer. This semester will be of 13 weeks. In Special Semester 2023, MPhil and PhD students who are in coursework phase will have combined classes to complete their coursework. Students who started in the spring or fall will complete courses if they have remaining courses, and students who entered the research phase will be able to complete their research semester. This semester will focus only on academic activities. Classes will be held in air-conditioned rooms and facility of backup generator will be provided. A teacher will cover a maximum of 2 courses. Preferably each teacher will be teaching one course. The Vice-Chancellor expressed hope that the students who will participate in the special semester in the fourth and eighth semesters will improve their educational quality and they will join the job market to improve their future and play an active role in the development of the society. Along with this, the resources of the University will also be used in 12 months of the year. Islamia University Bahawalpur will emerge as a university with the best quality of education in the country where teaching and research activities will continue throughout the year.

وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب نے کہا ہے کہ دنیا کی بہترین عالمی جامعات میں سمسٹر 6 سے 18 ہفتوں پر مشتمل  ہوتا ہے۔ سمر سمسٹر  بھی ان تمام یونیورسٹیوں میں رائج ہے۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور نے اس سال سمر میں اسپیشل سمسٹر نافذ کرنے کا فیصلہ کیا ہے۔ اس حوالے سے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کی سینڈیکیٹ نے قواعد وضوابط منظور کئے اور یونیورسٹی نے یہ فیصلہ کیا ہے کہ جو طلباء سپرنگ 2023 میں تیسرا اور ساتواں سمسٹر مکمل کر چکے ہیں، اُن کے لئے چوتھا اور آٹھواں سمسٹر اسپیشل سمسٹر ہو گا جو سمر میں آفر کیا جائے گا۔ یہ سمسٹر 13 ہفتوں کا ہو گا۔ اسپیشل سمسٹر 2023 میں ایم فل اور پی ایچ ڈی کے جوطلباء کورس ورک کے فیز میں ہیں اُن کی کمبائنڈ کلاسز ہوں گی تاکہ وہ اپنا کورس ورک مکمل کر سکیں۔ جن طلباء نے سپرنگ یا فال میں شروع کیا ہے اگر اُن کے کورسز باقی ہیں تو وہ کورسز مکمل کریں گے اور جو طلباء ریسرچ فیز میں داخل ہوئے ہیں وہ اپنا ریسرچ سمٹر مکمل کرسکیں گے۔ اس سمسٹر میں صرف  اکیڈمک سرگرمیوں پر فوکس کیا جائے گا۔ ائیر کنڈیشنز رومز میں کلاسز ہوں گی اور بیک اپ جنریٹر کی سہولت فراہم کی جائے گی ۔ ایک استاد زیادہ سے زیادہ 2 کورسز کا دباؤ اُٹھائے گا۔ ترجیحاً ہر ٹیچر ایک کورس پڑھا رہا ہوگا۔ وائس چانسلر نے امید ظاہر کی کہ جو طلباء اسپیشل سمسٹر میں چوتھے اور آٹھویں سمسٹر میں حصہ لیں گے ان کے تعلیمی معیار میں مزید بہتری آئے گی اور وہ جلد از جلد جاب مارکیٹ جوائن کر کے اپنا مستقبل بہتر بنائیں گے اور معاشرے کی ترقی میں بھی فعال کردار ادا کر سکیں گے۔ اس کے ساتھ ساتھ یونیوسٹی کے وسائل بھی سال کے 12مہینوں میں استعمال ہوں گے۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور وطن عزیز کی بہترین معیار تعلیم کی حامل یونیورسٹی کے طور پر سامنے آئے گی جہاں سارا سال تدریسی و تحقیقی سرگرمیاں جاری رہیں گی۔
