A series of events are going on at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur to show solidarity with the Kashmiri people. Painting and poster making competitions were organized in University College of Art and Design on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day on 5th February.  Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Dr. Ehtesham Anwar was the chief guest on this occasion.  Commissioner Bahawalpur appreciated the creative work of teachers and students for transferring the freedom spirit of Kashmiris on canvas in a beautiful way.  He said that art is one of the best ways to highlight the issue of Kashmir at the global level.  Through which serious violations of human rights can be brought to international forums. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar said that Kashmir's struggle for self-determination is recognized at the international level. We the people of Pakistan will stand shoulder to shoulder with the people of the region until the conflict is resolved according to the results of the UN resolution on census.  Pakistanis have pledged to support Kashmiris in their struggle for freedom.  Seven lakh Indian soldiers deployed in Occupied Kashmir cannot suppress the struggle of Kashmiris.  Kashmiris will get their right to self-determination for which the entire Pakistani nation stands behind them.  We at Bahawalpur Islamia University are celebrating Kashmir Solidarity Day with the Nation to express solidarity with Kashmiris and to protest against the gross violations of human rights by Indian forces in Occupied Kashmir.  The Vice-Chancellor thanked Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Dr. Ehtisham Anwar for personally visiting and participating in the campus to show solidarity with the Kashmiri brothers and encourage the faculty and students.  On this occasion, Principal College of Art and Design Farhana Altaf Qureshi gave a briefing about the artwork of students based on the freedom movement and struggle of Kashmiris.

وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپورپروفیسر ڈاکٹر نوید اختر کی ہدایت پر کشمیری عوام کے ساتھ اظہار یکجہتی کے لیے تقریبات کا سلسلہ جاری ہے۔ 5 فروری یوم یکجہتی کشمیر کی مناسبت سے یونیورسٹی کالج آف آرٹ اینڈ ڈیزائن میں پینٹنگ اور پوسٹر بنانے کے مقابلہ جات کا انعقاد کیا گیا۔ اس موقع پر کمشنر بہاول پور ڈویژن ڈاکٹر احتشام انور مہمان خصوصی تھے۔ کمشنر بہاولپور نے کشمیریوں کے جذبہ آزادی کو خوبصورت انداز میں کینوس پر منتقل کرنے پر اساتذہ اور طلباء وطالبات کے تخلیقی کام کو سراہا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ مسئلہ کشمیر کو عالمی سطح پر اجاگر کرنے کا ایک بہترین ذریعہ آرٹ ہے۔ جس کے ذریعے انسانی حقوق کی سنگین پامالیوں کو عالمی فورمز تک پہنچایا جا سکتا ہے۔ تقریب میں ڈین فیکلٹی آف ایگریکلچر اینڈ انوائرمنٹ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر تنویر حسین ترابی اور ڈائریکٹر آرٹس کونسل بہاولپور سجاد حسین بھی موجود تھے۔وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نوید اختر نے کہا کہ کشمیر کی جدوجہد حق خود ارادیت کو عالمی سطح پر تسلیم کیا جاتا ہے۔ ہم پاکستانی عوام اس وقت تک خطے کے عوام کے ساتھ کندھے سے کندھا ملا کر کھڑے رہیں گے جب تک تنازعہ اقوام متحدہ کی قرارداد برائے شماری کے نتائج کے مطابق حل نہیں ہو جاتا۔ قائداعظم محمد علی جناح نے جموں و کشمیر کو قوم کی شہ رگ قرار دیا تھا۔ پاکستانیوں نے کشمیریوں کی جدوجہد آزادی میں ان کی حمایت کا عہد کیا ہے۔ مقبوضہ کشمیر میں تعینات سات لاکھ بھارتی فوجی کشمیریوں کی جدوجہد کو دبا نہیں سکتے۔ کشمیریوں کو ان کا حق خودارادیت ملے گا جس کے لیے پوری پاکستانی قوم ان کے پیچھے کھڑی ہے۔ ہم بہاول پورکی اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی میں کشمیریوں کے ساتھ اظہار یکجہتی اور مقبوضہ کشمیر میں بھارتی افواج کی طرف سے انسانی حقوق کی سنگین خلاف ورزیوں کے خلاف احتجاج کے لیے قوم کے ساتھ یوم یکجہتی کشمیر منا رہے ہیں۔ وائس چانسلر نے کمشنر بہاولپور ڈویژن ڈاکٹر احتشام انور کا  کشمیری بھائیوں کے ساتھ اظہار یکجہتی اور فیکلٹی اور طلباء کی حوصلہ افزائی کے لیے ذاتی طور پر کیمپس آمد اور شرکت پر شکریہ ادا کیا۔ اس موقع پر پرنسپل کالج آف آرٹ اینڈ ڈیزائن فرحانہ الطاف قریشی نے کشمیریوں کی تحریک آزادی اور جدوجہد پر مبنی طلباء وطالبات کے آرٹ ورک سے متعلق بریفنگ دی۔
