IUB students and faculty members visited Ministry of IT and Telecommunication Islamabad

The student’s delegation visited the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication, Islamabad under the supervision of faculty members Ms. Amna Ashraf, Mr. Adnan Shah Bhukari and Mr. Mobeen Shahroz, of the Department of Artificial Intelligence (AI) with the kind guidance of HoD, Dr. Muhammad Faheem Mushtaq, and meet with the Mr. Raza Ahmed Sukhera, Joint Director Policy & Sector Growth at Ministry of IT and Telecommunication, Government of Pakistan. They explained the efforts under the visionary leadership of Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob to provide a flexible and research-oriented environment in different computing areas especially, for AI-based solutions, and plans to train students for Job placement to fulfill the need of the Industry. Mr. Raza Ahmed Sukhera acknowledged and appreciated the efforts of the Department of Artificial Intelligence. He explains the National Freelancing Facilitation Policy 2022 and BootCamp Training Service, that provides a model course work and methodology to be used as a guideline to universities and other institutions to train students in the future and prepare them for software development jobs in the field of Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, and Blockchain Technology for the next decade 2020-2029. He shows interest to visit the Islamia University of Bahawalpur to plan for different activities. The faculty members and students are thankful for kind discussion and his interest in planning different activities at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur.

اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کے شعبہ آرٹیفیشل انٹیلی جنس کے طلباء وطالبات نے وزارت انفارمیشن ٹیکنالوجی اینڈ ٹیلی کمیونیکیشن اسلام آباد کا دورہ کیا۔ اس موقع پر فیکلٹی ممبران آمنہ اشرف، عدنان شاہ بخاری اور مبین شہروز طلباء وطالبات کے ہمراہ تھے۔ وفد نے جوائنٹ ڈائریکٹر پالیسی اینڈ سیکٹر گروتھ رضا احمد سکھیراسے ملاقات کی۔ وائس چانسلر انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبو ب کی قیادت میں اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور میں انفارمیشن ٹیکنالوجی کے شعبے میں ہونے والی نت نئی پیش رفت اور کامیابیوں سے آگاہ کیا۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور میں قائم ای روزگار سنٹر کے تحت ہزاروں طلباء وطالبات کو ملازمت کے مواقع ملے ہیں اور IEEE آرٹیفیشل انٹیلیجنس کنسورشیم کے تحت یونیورسٹی طلباء وطالبات کو عالمی مارکیٹ تک رسائی حاصل ہو تی ہے۔ طلباء وطالبات نے وائس چانسلر انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹراطہرمحبوب، ڈین فیکلٹی آف کمپیوٹنگ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد حسین طاہر اور سربراہ شعبہ ڈاکٹر محمد فہیم مشتاق کا دورے کے انعقاد پر شکریہ ادا کیا۔
