IUB conducted Orientation Session on Mentoring Program for Universities (MPU) under NAHE-HEC

The Islamia University of Bahawalpur organized an Orientation Session on the Mentoring Program for Universities under National Academy of higher Education, Higher Education Commission for selected mentors drawn from both teaching and non-teaching staff. A total of sixty faculty members and administrative staff were selected by the Mentoring Program Committee and duly approved by the Vice Chancellor. A total of sixty cohorts have also been formed for mentees under the program. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, Vice Chancellor, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, highlighted the significance of the Mentoring Program in strengthening the professional capacity of early-career faculty members and administrative staff across all faculties and sub-campuses. He emphasized that the program is designed to promote capacity building, leadership development, professional growth, effective communication skills, reflective practices, and continuous learning. He also appreciated the efforts of the Mentoring Program Committee, Focal Person Prof. Dr. Rubina Bhatti, and all committee members Prof. Dr. Asif Naveed Ranjha, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Saleem, Prof. Dr. Asadullah Madni, Shaji Ur Rehman, Prof. Dr. Salman Bin Naeem, and Prof. Dr. Samar Fahd, for their dedicated efforts in ensuring the smooth implementation of the program. Prof. Dr. Rubina Bhatti, Focal Person Mentoring Program for Universities, presented an overview of the program, including its introduction, objectives, key themes, and expected outcomes. She also highlighted its strategic importance, and implementation mechanisms, emphasizing its role in fostering reflection, professional growth, and a culture of mentoring within the university. Prof. Dr. Irshad Hussain, Dean Faculty of Education, delivered an insightful presentation on the significance and framework of the Higher Education Commission Mentoring Program for Universities, highlighting its structure, strategic importance, and implementation mechanisms. Dr. Abid Shahzad, Chairperson, Department of Educational Leadership, conducted an engaging session on the “Art of Mentoring,” focusing on effective mentoring practices and professional development. The session concluded with active participation and positive feedback from all attendees, who appreciated the initiative and expressed their commitment to contributing effectively to the mentoring process.

اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور نے نیشنل اکیڈمی آف ہائر ایجوکیشن، ہائر ایجوکیشن کمیشن کے تحت یونیورسٹیوں کے لیے مینٹورنگ پروگرام پر ایک اورینٹیشن سیشن کا انعقاد کیا جس میں تدریسی اور غیر تدریسی عملے سے منتخب کردہ افراد کاانتخاب کیا گیا۔ کل ساٹھ فیکلٹی ممبران اور انتظامی عملے کو مینٹورنگ پروگرام کمیٹی نے منتخب کیا اور وائس چانسلر کی طرف سے باقاعدہ منظوری دی گئی۔ پروگرام کے تحت مینٹیز کے لیے کل ساٹھ کوہورٹس بھی بنائے گئے ہیں۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران، وائس چانسلر، اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی آف بہاولپور نے تمام فیکلٹیز اور سب کیمپسز میں ابتدائی کیریئر کے فیکلٹی ممبران اور انتظامی عملے کی پیشہ ورانہ صلاحیت کو مضبوط بنانے کے لیے مینٹورنگ پروگرام کی اہمیت پر روشنی ڈالی۔ انہوں نے اس بات پر زور دیا کہ یہ پروگرام صلاحیتوں کی تعمیر، قیادت کی ترقی، پیشہ ورانہ ترقی، مؤثر مواصلاتی مہارتوں، عکاس طریقوں اور مسلسل سیکھنے کو فروغ دینے کے لیے ڈیزائن کیا گیا ہے۔ انہوں نے مینٹورنگ پروگرام کمیٹی، فوکل پرسن پروفیسر ڈاکٹر روبینہ بھٹی، اور تمام کمیٹی ممبران پروفیسر ڈاکٹر آصف نوید رانجھا، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد سلیم، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اسد اللہ مدنی، شجیع الرحمان، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر سلمان بن نعیم اور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد سعید کی کاوشوں کو بھی سراہا۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر روبینہ بھٹی، فوکل پرسن مینٹورنگ پروگرام برائے یونیورسٹیز نے پروگرام کا ایک جائزہ پیش کیا، جس میں اس کا تعارف، مقاصد، اہم موضوعات اور متوقع نتائج شامل تھے۔ انہوں نے یونیورسٹی کے اندر عکاسی، پیشہ ورانہ ترقی، اور رہنمائی کے کلچر کو فروغ دینے میں اس کے کردار پر زور دیتے ہوئے اس کی اسٹریٹجک اہمیت، اور نفاذ کے طریقہ کار پر بھی روشنی ڈالی۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر ارشاد حسین، ڈین فیکلٹی آف ایجوکیشن نے یونیورسٹیوں کے لیے ہائر ایجوکیشن کمیشن مینٹرنگ پروگرام کی اہمیت اور فریم ورک کے بارے میں ایک بصیرت انگیز پریزنٹیشن پیش کی، جس میں اس کی ساخت، اسٹریٹجک اہمیت اور نفاذ کے طریقہ کار پر روشنی ڈالی۔ ڈاکٹر عابد شہزاد، چیئرپرسن، شعبہ ایجوکیشنل لیڈرشپ نے آرٹ آف مینٹورنگ پر ایک دلچسپ سیشن کا انعقاد کیا، جس میں رہنمائی کے موثر طریقوں اور پیشہ ورانہ ترقی پر توجہ دی گئی۔ تمام حاضرین کی فعال شرکت اور مثبت آراء کے ساتھ سیشن کا اختتام ہوا، جنہوں نے اس اقدام کو سراہا اور رہنمائی کے عمل میں مؤثر طریقے سے اپنا حصہ ڈالنے کے عزم کا اظہار کیا۔
