Fourth National Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) Conference was organized at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur

The fourth National Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) Conference was organized by the Islamia University of Bahawalpur in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, Islamic Ideology Council and Rahmatul-lil-Alameen (PBUH) Authority Pakistan in connection with the Ashra-e-Shan-e-Rahmatul-lil-Alameen (PBUH) at Ghulam Muhammad Ghotvi Hall, Abbasia Campus. The theme of the conference was “State Responsibilities in the Education and Training of the Beneficial Use of Social Media, in the Light of Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH)”. The event was presided over by Professor Dr. Muhammad Kamran, Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. The welcome address was delivered by Professor Dr. Hafiz Shafiq-ur-Rehman, Director, Seerat Chair. While the opening remarks were delivered by Professor Dr. Sheikh Shafiq-ur-Rehman, Dean, Faculty of Islamic and Arabic Studies. The conference was attended by prominent personalities, researchers and scholars of the country, including Advocate Mah Jabeen Khan Abbasi, Member of National Assembly, Professor Dr. Khalil Ahmed Thanvi, Mufti Muhammad Ibrahim, Former Member, Islamic Ideology Council, Sukkur, Professor Dr. Mufti Saeed-ur-Rehman, Institute of Southern Punjab, Multan, Professor Dr. Kalsoom Paracha, Vice Chancellor. Women's University Multan was prominent. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran said in his presidential address that Islamia University Bahawalpur is committed to conveying the message of Seerat-un-Nabi (peace be upon him) to the whole world through academic and research activities and each of us needs to present a practical interpretation of the Seerat. The speakers said in their addresses that social media is the most powerful weapon of today's era. It is a medium of communication that has the ability to convey a message to the whole world in moments. If it is used for good, goodness and reform, it can become the best means of social education, intellectual awareness, religious consciousness and academic evolution. But if it is used wrongly and negatively, this same power can also lead to social deterioration, sedition and corruption and moral degradation. He said that in this context, it is the responsibility of the state to formulate such policies and laws for social media that guarantee the protection of social values. It is the duty of educational institutions to guide the new generation in the right direction in the digital world through curriculum and training. Similarly, parents are also required to supervise and Guide them towards positive and constructive use of social media. The speakers emphasized that if these three levels, the state, educational institutions and the family, fulfill their respective responsibilities in a proper manner, social media can be made the most effective messenger of goodness, peace, tolerance and moderation in the light of the Seerat-un-Nabi (peace be upon him).

بہاولپور (پ ر) اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے زیر اہتمام ہائر ایجوکیشن کمیشن پاکستان اسلامی نظریاتی کونسل اور رحمت للعالمین ﷺ اتھارٹی پاکستان کے باہمی اشتراک سے عشرۂ شانِ رحمت للعالمین ﷺ کے سلسلے میں چوتھی قومی سیرت النبی ﷺ کانفرنس غلام محمد گھوٹوی ہال عباسیہ کیمپس میں منعقد ہوئی۔ کانفرنس کا موضوع "سوشل میڈیا کے مفید استعمال کی تعلیم و تربیت میں ریاستی ذمہ داریاں، سیرت النبی ﷺ کی روشنی میں تھا۔ تقریب کی صدارت  پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور نے کی۔  خطبہ استقبالیہ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر حافظ شفیق الرحمان ڈائریکٹر سیرت چیئر نے پیش کیا۔ جبکہ افتتاحی کلمات پروفیسر ڈاکٹر شیخ شفیق الرحمٰن، ڈین فیکلٹی آف اسلامک اینڈ عریبک اسٹڈیز نے پیش کیا۔ کانفرنس میں ملک کی ممتاز شخصیات، محققین اور اسکالرز نے شرکت کی جن میں ایڈووکیٹ ماہ جبین خان عباسی، ممبر قومی اسمبلی پروفیسر ڈاکٹر خلیل احمد تھانوی مفتی محمد ابراہیم سابق ممبر اسلامی نظریاتی کونسل، سکھر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر مفتی سعید الرحمٰن انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف سدرن پنجاب، ملتان، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر کلثوم پراچہ وائس چانسلر ویمن یونیورسٹی ملتان نمایاں تھے۔ وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران نے اپنے صدارتی خطاب میں کہا کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور علمی و تحقیقی سرگرمیوں کے ذریعے سیرت النبی ﷺ کا پیغام پوری دنیا تک پہنچانے کے لیے پرعزم ہے اور ہم میں سے ہر ایک کو سیرت کی عملی تعبیر پیش کرنے کی ضرورت ہے۔ مقررین نے اپنے خطابات میں کہا کہ سوشل میڈیا آج کے دور کا سب سے طاقتور ہتھیار ہے۔ یہ ایک ایسا ذریعہ ابلاغ ہے جو لمحوں میں پوری دنیا تک پیغام پہنچانے کی صلاحیت رکھتا ہے۔ اگر اس کا استعمال خیر، بھلائی اور اصلاح کے لیے کیا جائے تو یہ معاشرتی تربیت، فکری بیداری، دینی شعور اور علمی ارتقاء کا بہترین وسیلہ بن سکتا ہے۔ لیکن اگر اس کا غلط اور منفی استعمال کیا جائے تو یہی طاقت معاشرتی بگاڑ، فتنہ و فساد اور اخلاقی انحطاط کا باعث بھی بن سکتی ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ اس پس منظر میں ریاست کی ذمہ داری ہے کہ وہ سوشل میڈیا کے لیے ایسی پالیسیاں اور قوانین مرتب کرے جو معاشرتی اقدار کے تحفظ کی ضامن ہوں۔ تعلیمی اداروں کا فرض ہے کہ وہ نصاب و تربیت کے ذریعے نئی نسل کو ڈیجیٹل دنیا میں صحیح سمت دیں۔ اسی طرح والدین پر بھی لازم ہے کہ وہ اولاد کو نگرانی اور رہنمائی کے ساتھ سوشل میڈیا کے مثبت اور تعمیری استعمال کی طرف راغب کریں۔ مقررین نے زور دیا کہ اگر یہ تینوں سطحیں ریاست، تعلیمی ادارے اور گھرانہ اپنی اپنی ذمہ داری احسن طریقے سے ادا کریں تو سوشل میڈیا کو سیرت النبی ﷺ کی روشنی میں خیر، امن، رواداری اور اعتدال کا سب سے مؤثر پیغام رساں بنایا جاسکتا ہے۔
