Consul General of the US Consulate in Lahore Mr. William K. Makaneole, visited the IUB Bahawalnagar Campus

Consul General of the American Consulate in Lahore Mr. William K. Makaneole, visited the Islamia University Bahawalnagar Campus yesterday. On this occasion Ms. Kathleen Gibilisco, Political and Economic Chief, Mr. Paul Garr, Public Affairs Officer and Amina Anas, Economist, were also with him. On arrival at Bahawalnagar Campus, Vice Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob welcomed the guests and gave them a detailed briefing about the ongoing teaching, research and development activities in all campuses of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. The 7 campuses of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur are spread across the three districts of Bahawalpur Division, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar and Rahim Yar Khan. The number of students in the university is more than 65 thousand who are taught by 1800 faculty members in 148 departments. Mr. William K. Makaneole praised the university leadership and administration for the development projects of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, diversity of students from Punjab province and other parts of the country and research activities in all campuses and the excellent performance of the last few years. On this occasion, collaboration and cooperation between American educational institutions and the Islamia University of Bahawalpur for teaching and research activities were also discussed. The American General Concul interacted with faculty officers and teachers and reviewed the curricular and co-curricular activities on campus. Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob Vice Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur thanked Mr. William K. Makaneole and other officials for coming to Bahawalnagar campus and invited them to visit Bahawalpur campuses. On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Moazzam Jameel Registrar, Prof. Dr. Abubakar Treasurer, Director Campus Dr. Rafaqat Ali, Prof. Dr. Asif Naveed Ranjha Director Advanced Studies and Chairman Department of Social Work, Rizwan Majeed Director of IT, Shahzad Ahmed Khalid Director Press Media and Publications, Dr. Azhar Hussain Director Alumni Affairs, Maqshuf Ahmed Director Academics, Farkhunda Tahseen Director Planning and Development, Shahzad Asif Qureshi Project Director, Arif Ramooz Additional Registrar, Zafar Abbas Additional Registrar, Faseehuddin Gillani Executive Engineer, Asad Ali Additional Director and other senior officials were also present.

امریکی کونسلیٹ لاہور کے کونسل جنرل  ولیم کے میکانیول نے گزشتہ روز اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولنگر کیمپس کا دورہ کیا۔ اس موقع پر کیتھلین گیبلسکو پولیٹیکل اینڈ اکنامک چیف، پال گار پبلک آفیئرز آفیسر اور آمنہ انس ماہر معاشیات بھی ان کے ہمراہ تھے۔ بہاولنگر کیمپس آمد پر وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب نے مہمانوں کا خیر مقدم کیا اور انہیں اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کے تمام کیمپسز میں جاری تدریسی، تحقیقی اور ترقیاتی سرگرمیوں سے متعلق تفصیلی بریفنگ دی۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کے 7 کیمپسز بہاول پور ڈویژن کے تینوں اضلاع بہاول پور، بہاولنگر اور رحیم یار خان میں پھیلے ہوئے ہیں۔ یونیورسٹی میں طلباء وطالبات کی تعداد 65 ہزار سے زائد ہے جنہیں 1800 فیکلٹی ممبران 148 شعبہ جات میں تدریس دے رہی ہیں۔ جناب ولیم کے میکانیول نے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کے ترقیاتی منصوبوں، صوبہ پنجاب اور ملک کے  دیگر علاقوں سیآئے ہوئے طلباء کا تنوع اور تمام کیمپسز میں ہونے والی تحقیقی سرگرمیوں اورگزشتہ چند برس کی بہترین کارکردگی پر یونیورسٹی قیادت اور انتظامیہ کی تعریف کی۔ اس موقع پر امریکی تعلیمی اداروں اور اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کے مابین تدریسی و تحقیقی سرگرمیوں کے لیے اشتراک وتعاون پر بھی تبادلہ خیال کیا گیا۔ امریکی جنرل کونسل نے فیکلٹی افسران اور اساتذہ سے تبادلہ خیال کیا اورکیمپس میں نصابی اور ہم نصابی سرگرمیوں کا جائزہ لیا۔ انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور نے جناب ولیم کے میکانیول اور دیگر حکام کا بہاولنگر کیمپس آمد پر شکریہ ادا کیا اور انہیں بہاول پور کیمپسز کے دورے کی دعوت دی۔ اس موقع پر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر معظم جمیل رجسٹرار، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر ابوبکر خزانہ دار، ڈائریکٹر کیمپس ڈاکٹر رفاقت علی، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر آصف نوید رانجھا ڈائریکٹر ایڈوانس سٹڈیز و چیئرمین شعبہ سوشل ورک، رضوان مجید ڈائریکٹر آئی ٹی، شہزاد احمد خالد ڈائریکٹر پریس میڈیا اینڈ پبلیکشنز، ڈاکٹر اظہر حسین ڈائریکٹر ایلومینائی افیئرز، مکشوف احمد ڈائریکٹر اکیڈمکس، فرخندہ تحسین ڈائریکٹر پلاننگ اینڈ ڈویلپمنٹ، شہزاد آصف قریشی پراجیکٹ ڈائریکٹر، عارف رموز ایڈیشنل رجسٹرار، ظفر عباس ایڈیشنل رجسٹرار، فصیح الدین گیلانی ایگزیکٹو انجینئر، اسد علی ایڈیشنل ڈائریکٹر اور دیگر سینئر حکام بھی موجود  تھے۔
