About

Dr. Qasim Ali completed his doctoral degree in soil microbiology and biochemistry with special emphasis on soil microbial community and plant nutrition. He worked as assistant professor (IFPF) in Bahauddin Zakariya University, Layyah Campus. He also has a job experience in SU Enterprises, dealing with the business of Medical & Laboratory instruments. Dr. Qasim Ali worked as Research Associate in a PARB funded research Project titled “Development of bioherbicides containing allelopathic bacteria for weeds suppression in direct-seeded rice” for three years. He is managing a scientific journal “Plant and Environment” as Editor-in-chief. He is the member of the Microbiology Society, UK, Soil Science Society of Pakistan, and Pakistan Botanical Society. Dr. Qasim Ali has published 14 research papers in national and international journals, 16 book chapters and 3 technical reports as author/co-author.

Plant microbe interactions for improving crop yields under stressed environment; nano encapsulated biofertilizers for crop growth under contaminated soil; Microbial biosynthesis of plant growth regulating substances; Microbe plant allelopathic interaction for control of weeds in rice
