Profile Summary
Dr. Zaheer Abbas received his M. Sc degree in Mathematics from the Islamia University of Bahawalpur in 2002. He completed M. Phil & Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad in 2005 and 2010, respectively. He is now a Professor of Mathematics in the Department of Mathematics at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Pakistan. He focused his research interest specifically on Nonlinear Analysis of various engineering problems. He constructed several analytical and numerical solutions for non-linear problems. His work is mainly in Fluid Mechanics (Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids, stretching sheet flows, Boundary layer flows), Two/Three-Phase Flows in Channel/Pipes, Fluid Dynamics of Peristaltic/Blood Flows, Numerical Solutions of DEs/Numerical Methods, Heat and Mass Transfer Analysis, Lie Group Analysis/Symmetries of DEs, Homotopy Analysis Method. Dr. Zaheer Abbas has published more than 365 research papers in well-reputed international journals with a cumulative impact factor of >895. He has more than 12445 citations with 56 h-index. He is also a regular reviewer of renowned international research journals and a member of the Editorial Board of Two international journals. In recognition of his outstanding work, he has been awarded the Dr. Raziuddin Siddiqui Prize for Young Scientists in Mathematics (2014) by the Pakistan Academy of Sciences and RPA (2010, 2011, 2012, 2016) by the Pakistan Council for Science and Technology. Furthermore, 23 PhD and 112 MPhil students have completed their degrees, and 02 PhD and 05 MPhil students are working under his supervision.
