About

Professor Dr. Saeed Ahmad Buzdar is associated with The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, for last 20 years. He is currently Chairman of the Physics Department. He has a vast experience of teaching, research, and quality assurance in higher education. He has supervised 7 PhDs, more than 70 M Phils, and more than 200 M.Sc. / BS Hons. Projects in field of Medical Physics. He is / and remained member of various statutory bodies of the university, as well as some other universities of Pakistan. He has delivered numerous keynote talks about Physics, Medical Physics, Research Methodology, Quality Assurance, Blooms Taxonomy, Outcome Based Education, Effective Learning and other similar topics in many universities and colleges all over Pakistan.

Research Interests

Established first Lab of Medical Physics, in Department of Physics, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, under HEC’s NRPU project, “ Fabrication of Tissue Equivalent Materials for Diagnostic Radiology and Radiation Therapy”. Gel Dosimetry processes are done over there, and for further proceedings, collaboration is established with Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Center, Lahore, BINO Bahawapur, and BVH Bahawalpur.

  1. Awarded Higher Education Commission of Pakistan’s Indigenous PhD Fellowship, Batch-1, Phase-1, year 2004.
  2. Awarded Higher Education Commission of Pakistan’s International Research Support Initiative Program 2006-07, for Research work of PhD in Department of Medical Physics & Bioengineering, University College London, UK. 

  3. Nominee of The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, for 6 month Post Graduate Computer Orientation Course (PGCOC-9), for university teachers of Pakistan, in CTC , Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission, Islamabad. 

  4. Awarded Higher Education Commission of Pakistan’s Postdoctoral Fellowship, Batch-II, Phase I, year 2011-12.
