About Me

Prof. Dr. Saeed Ahmad Buzdar is associated with The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, for last 22 years, since he joined as a lecturer back in November 2000. He has done Postdoc from Department of Medical Physics & Bioengineering, University College London, in 2012, and PhD in Medical Physics in 2009. Prof. Dr. Saeed Ahmad Buzdar, was appointed as Chairman Department of Physics, in April 2018 and then he piloted the upgradation of department into institute, and ultimately it was upgraded as Institute of Physics. Prof. Buzdar, was appointed as first Director of the Institute. He is also having the charge of the office of Dean, Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences. He has a vast experience of teaching, research, and quality assurance in higher education. He has supervised 8 PhDs, more than 100 M.Phil research dissertations, and more than 250 M.Sc. / BS Hons. projects in field of Medical Physics. He has remained member of various statutory bodies of the university, as well as some other universities of Pakistan. He has delivered numerous keynote talks about Physics, Medical Physics, Research Methodology, Quality Assurance, Blooms Taxonomy, Outcome Based Education, Effective Learning and other similar topics in many universities and colleges all over Pakistan.

Research Interest Keywords

Established first Lab of Medical Physics, in Department of Physics, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, under HEC’s NRPU project, “Fabrication of Tissue Equivalent Materials for Diagnostic Radiology and Radiation Therapy”. Gel Dosimetry processes are done over there, and for further proceedings, collaboration is established with Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Center, Lahore, BINO Bahawapur, and BVH Bahawalpur.
