Allama Iqbal's grandson and eminent artist Mian Iqbal Salahuddin gave a special lecture on the subject of Iqbal's concept of self at Ghulam Muhammad Ghotvi Hall the Islamia University of Bahawalpur under the Fiqr-e-Iqbal lecture series organized by the Department of Iqbaliat the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. In his address, he gave detailed information about Allama Iqbal's poetry and his thoughts to the students. Mian Iqbal Salahuddin appreciated the establishment of the Department of Iqbaliat at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and the organization of special lecture series and international conferences on Allama Iqbal. He said that the Islamia University of Bahawalpur is a historical university and the dedication with which Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob is working for the development and improvement of the university is commendable. Dr. Rafiq-ul-Islam, Head, Department of Iqbaliat, while giving special thanks to the guest speaker, said that steps are being taken to highlight the teachings of Allama Iqbal in the newly established department at the international level. Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob appreciated the special visit of Mian Iqbal Salahuddin to the University and for the intellectual development of the students. On this occasion, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Department of Iqbaliat the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and Dabistan-e-Iqbal Lahore to promote academic and cultural relations, and to bring educational and human resources to the fore. Dabistan-e-Iqbal Lahore was established in January 2012 and the purpose of this institution is to carry forward the traditions of Fiqr-e-Iqbal by providing a platform to the people interested in Iqbaliat. In this regard, the message of Hakeem Ummah is conveyed in Pakistan and all over the world through seminars and publication of books. The two institutions will jointly organize seminars, conferences and lectures and promote research activities as well as provide financial support to deserving students. The agreement was signed by Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Vice Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and Mian Salahuddin Chairman Dabistan-e-Iqbal Lahore.

شعبہ اقبالیات اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے زیر اہتمام فکر اقبال لیکچرسیریز کے تحت علامہ اقبال کے نواسے اور ممتاز آرٹسٹ میاں اقبال صلاح الدین نے اقبال کے تصورخودی کے موضوع پر غلام محمد گھوٹوی ہال اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور میں خصوصی لیکچر دیا۔ انہوں نے اپنے خطبے میں علامہ اقبال کی شاعری اور ان کے افکار کے بارے میں طلباء وطالبات کو تفصیلی آگاہ کیا۔ میاں اقبال صلاح الدین نے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور میں شعبہ اقبالیات کے قیام اور علامہ اقبال پر خصوصی لیکچر سیریز اور بین الاقوامی کانفرنسز کے انعقاد کو سراہا۔ انہوں نے کہاکہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور ایک تاریخی یونیورسٹی ہے اور وائس چانسلر انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب جس لگن سے یونیورسٹی کی ترقی اور بہتری کے لیے کوششیں کر رہے ہیں وہ قابل تعریف امر ہے۔ شعبہ اقبالیات کے سربراہ ڈاکٹر رفیق السلام نے مہمان مقرر کا خصوصی شکریہ ادا کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ نوقائم شدہ شعبے میں علامہ اقبال کی تعلیمات کو عالمی سطح پر اجاگر کرنے کے لیے اقدامات کیے جا رہے ہیں۔ اس موقع پر اپنے خطاب میں وائس چانسلر انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب نے میاں اقبال صلاح الدین کی جامعہ آمد اور ساتذہ اور طلباء طالبات کی فکری آبیاری کے لیے خصوصی گفتگو کو سراہا۔ اس موقع پر شعبہ اقبالیات اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور اور دبستان اقبال لاہور کے مابین علمی اور ثقافتی تعلقات کو فروغ دینے، تعلیمی اور انسانی حلاحیتوں کو قولی طور پر بروکار لانے کے لیے مفاہمتی یاداشت پر دستخط ہوئے۔ دبستان اقبال لاہور کا قیام جنوری 2012میں عمل میں آیا اور اس ادارے کا مقصد اقبالیات میں دلچسپی رکھنے والے لوگوں کو ایک پلیٹ فارم فراہم کرکے فکر اقبال کی روایات کو آگے بڑھانا ہے۔ ا س سلسلے میں سیمینار اور کتب کی اشاعت کے ذریعے پاکستان اور دنیا بھر میں حکیم امت کا پیغام پہنچایا جاتا ہے۔ دونوں ادارے مشترکہ طور پر سیمینار، کانفرنسز اور لیکچرز کا اہتمام کریں گے اور تحقیقی سرگرمیوں کو فروغ دینے کے ساتھ ساتھ مستحق طلباء کی مالی مدد بھی کریں گے۔ معاہدے پر انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور اور میاں صلاح الدین چیئرمین دبستان اقبال لاہور نے دستخط کیے۔
