The Department of Sociology at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) was established in 2021 with a commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and community engagement. The Department provides students with a comprehensive understanding of society, social institutions, cultures, and contemporary social challenges. Its academic programs emphasize critical thinking, research skills, cultural competence, and evidence-based approaches to understanding and addressing social problems. Through quality teaching, scholarly research, and practical learning opportunities, the Department prepares students for careers in education, research, development, public service, social organizations, and other professional fields.
