Quality Enhancement Cell, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, conducted a ceremony to distribute the accreditation certificates to Chairpersons Department of Forestry, Soil Science, Agronomy, Food Science, Plant Breeding & Genetics and Entomology.

Director QEC, Prof. Dr. Saeed Ahmad Buzdar, while addressing the participants briefed that the College of Agriculture & Environmental Sciences was established in 2005, later in the year 2020, under the dynamic leadership of Worthy Vice Chancellor, Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, the College was upgraded in faculty of Agriculture & Environment. National Agriculture Education Accreditation Council visited the college for programs accreditation; certificates are awarded as token of their evaluation reports. Award of the certificates by external bodies indicates that quality enhancement measures being improve at IUB.

Prof. Dr. Tanveer Hussain, Chairperson, Department of Forestry, Range & Wildlife Management highlight that the role of QEC is admirable in accreditation process at IUB, and explained that all programs of FA&E have acquired “X” category accreditation status.

Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar, congratulates to all faulty members, students and QEC team on this achievement and distributed the certificates. Prof. Dr. Iqbal Bandesha, Dean, Faculty of agriculture and Environment, Prof. Dr. Tanveer Hussain, Forestry Department, Dr. Waqar Hassan, Entomology Department, Dr. Awon Summer Raza, Agronomy Department and Dr. Zulifqar Ahmad, Food Science & Technology Department received the accreditation certificates.

In concluding remarks, Pro Vice Chancellor, highlighted that to meet higher education quality requirements the university has made rapid progress in terms of expansion of its academic programs, student’s enrolment, physical infrastructure, campus network and hiring of highly qualified and experienced academic and administrative staff.
