The two day Young Entrepreneur Summit organized by the department of Management Science concluded at Baghdad ul Jadeed Campus. The event was participated by academia, experts, professionals businessman and industrialists from 30 Universities and Chambers of Commerce and Industries from across Pakistan. Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Vice Chancellor was the chief guest of the inaugural session held at the main auditorium. In his address, the Vice Chancellor said that it is the age of entrepreneurship where ideas are more precious than money itself. There are many examples that brilliant young people are torching skies and grooming in business world due to their unique and innovative ideas. He praised the efforts of department of Management Sciences as local youth has ample talent and has full capabilities to convert their ideas into real business solutions. He advised students and entrepreneurs that 99% success of a business depends on perseverance of entrepreneur who has keen eye on business environment around him and grabs opportunities for the good of his business. This way he not only fulfils his job requirement but also provides job opportunities to my fellow young people. The Vice Chancellor said that we are facing greater challenges of global economy and the only way to meet these challenges is to bring innovative ideas and converting these ideas into best quality products and services which are popular in the market. We should think globally and act locally to contribute national economy. The Islamia University of Bahawalpur being the leading University of the regions playing significant role in the uplift of social and economic development of the region. The IUB was the first University which organized an awareness seminar on Kamyab Jawan Program of Government of Pakistan to provide awareness of small and medium enterprises loans for the talented Youth. The University is currently in expression phase to provide higher education opportunities to local youth by opening new market based programs. The University is collaborating with various institutions to open new avenues of job placements, training and internships for students. Prof. Dr. Jawad Iqbal, Chairman Department of Management Sciences said that second edition of entrepreneur Summit clearly shows commitment of the department towards academic excellence. The department has recently shifted in new building which will surely boost research and academic activities. Haseeb Ahmed, representative of State Bank of Pakistan said that his institution will finance 700,000 entrepreneurs by 2023 in small and medium sized business sectors. Take ratio for these businesses has been lowered from 35 to 20 percent with 5 years tax holiday. On this occasion women entrepreneurs Hina Akbar and Gulshan Ambreen shared their success stories.

انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب وائس چانسلر نے کہا ہے کہ زرعی کالج اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور زراعت کی تدریس کے ساتھ ساتھ تحقیقی میدان میں بھی نمایاں کردار کا حامل ہے۔کالج میں کپاس اور دیگر اہم فصلوں پر ہونے والی تحقیقات سے زرعی معیشت کو فائدہ ہوا ہے اور پنجاب بھر میں 45فیصد رقبے پر جامعہ کی دریافت شدہ کاٹن کی اقسام کاشت ہو رہی ہے۔ کوالیفائیڈ فیکلٹی، لیبارٹری کی جدید سہولیات اور فیلڈ ورک کے لیے زرعی فارم کی سہولت کے باعث کالج میں تعلیم کا معیار بہت بلند ہے اور اس میں مزید بہتری لائی جا رہی ہے۔ وائس چانسلر نے ان خیالات کا اظہار اہائر ایجوکیشن کمیشن کی نیشنل ایگریکلچر ایجوکیشن ایکریڈیٹیشن کونسل کے وفد سے ملاقات کے موقع پر کیا۔ وفد نے کالج آف ایگریکلچر اینڈ اینوائرمینٹل سائنسز اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کے دوروزہ دورے کے دوران شعبہ سوائل سائنسز اور شعبہ فارسٹری رینج اور وائلڈ لائف مینجمنٹ کی سہولیات اور کارکردگی کا جائزہ لیا۔ وائس چانسلر نے کہا کہ حال ہی میں کالج میں سوائل سائنسز کی جدید لیبارٹری قائم کی گئی ہے جو تھور زدہ زمینوں سے متعلق کسانوں کی رہنمائی کرے گی۔ وفد کے سربراہ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اشتیاق احمد رجوانہ، چیئر پرسن ایکریڈیٹیشن کونسل اور پرو وائس چانسلر ایم این ایس ایگریکلچر یونیورسٹی ملتان نے اپنے دورے اور دونوں شعبہ جات کے جائزے کے بعد وائس چانسلر کو اپنے تاثرات سے آگاہ کیا۔انہوں نے کالج کے تعلیمی معیار اور تحقیقی سرگرمیوں کو سراہا اور امید ظاہر کی کہ ترقی اور بہتری کا یہ سلسلہ جاری رہے گا۔ وفد میں پروفیسر ڈاکٹر عابد کھرل کنویئنر، ڈاکٹر جام نیاز، ممبر، پروفیسر داکٹر محمد زبیر کنوینر اور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر دین محمد زاہد ممبر شامل تھے۔ اس موقع پر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر معظم جمیل، پرنسپل کالج آف ایگریکلچر اینڈ اینوائرمینٹل سائنسز، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر تنویر حسین چیئر مین شعبہ فارسٹری نے اپنے شعبہ جات سے متعلق تفصیلی بریفنگ دی۔ وفد نے اپنے دورے کے دوران کلاس رومز، لیبارٹریوں، زرعی فارم، ہاسٹلز، میڈیکل اور سپورٹس سہولیات کا جائزہ لیا اور فیکلٹی ممبران اور طلبہ وطالبات سے ملاقات کی۔
