Research and Development Projects
1. Establishing high health Moringa oleifera nursery production in Bahawalpur district and its exogenous application as a seed priming agent under water-deficit stress
With: The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Pakistan (2018-09 - 2019-10)
Under the circumstances of sudden temperature fluctuation, germination potential of field cropsare drastically affected which leads to the reduction of yield. So, plant vigorous growth anddevelopment becomes the serious threat for healthy plant seedlings. From project results, theexogenous application of plant growth enhancers as a seed priming treatment which can preventthe emergence harsh condition to sustain the crop growth and productivity. Moringa oleifera iswell-known to be a newly emerging naturally occurring plant growth enhancer in this regards. Itsavailability as a crop in the field can be raised through high health nursery production. It createsthe plant tolerance against environmental stresses after applied exogenously during the early stageof seed germination processing.
