The Islamia University of Bahawalpur was established in the year 1975 by upgrading historical institute of the Jamia Abbasia. In the past for over three decades, the University has played a major role in furthering the nation’s social, cultural, business and economic development by providing highly skilled manpower. Clubs and Societies

IUB has sports and cultural clubs & student societies. There are 27 student's societies under the umbrella of the Directorate of Students Affairs.

Cultural Festivals

Societies and clubs organize cultural festivals. BWP Literary and Cultural Festival (BLCF), BWP Trade Fair and Desert Jeep Rally are very popular.

Sports and Physical Activities

IUB provides opportunities to participate in various sports. Sports Complex with gym and indoor games facilities and huge outdoor facilities are available.

Residential And Hostel Facilities

Employee's residential colony is situated at BJC. Male & Female Students & Faculty hostels are available at all the campuses.

University Transport

IUB provides transport services to students, faculty, staff and departmental guests. This transport fleet is one of the largest fleets owned by any university.

Events and Days Celebrations

To create awareness The IUB organizes national and international conferences, symposia, seminars, workshops, job fairs, expos, exhibitions, webinar and walks.

Students Facilitation Center

IUB has Special Student Facilitation Center with aims to help disabled students. A special admission quota with full fee concession waiver is also available.

Student Support

IUB is committed to provide financial aid to students from the less developed areas of PAK and BWP, as a way to increase access to education.

Campus Resources

State of the art campus resources are available to support academic and co-curricular activities. These include Health Center, Campus FM Radio, etc.

Library

IUB has a large library from where students could be facilitated. Library provides access to books, magazines, databases, and academic journals.
