Research and Development Projects

1. SAFE-RH

With: Erasmus + (2024-06 - 2026-06)

The SAFE-RH project, co-funded by the European Union's Erasmus+ Programme, is an international collaborative initiative between five higher education institutions—the University of the West of Scotland (UWS), Paisley, Université de Lorraine in France, Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST), Islamabad, COMSATS University Islamabad (Wah Campus), and The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB)—working together to leverage smart wearable sensors, AI, and edge computing for remote health monitoring. Aimed at overcoming severe infrastructure limitations in data-scarce rural communities across Pakistan, this joint consortium develops intelligent frameworks to provide early health interventions and continuous monitoring for maternal, infant, and elderly care
