About Me
Dr. Shehraz Akhtar is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (Rahim Yar Khan Campus), holding a Ph.D. from the Abdus Salam School of Mathematical Sciences, GCU Lahore. Over a 14-year career in higher education, he has taught undergraduate and postgraduate students at institutions including IUB, KFUEIT, and Minhaj University Lahore. Dr. Akhtar’s research focuses on applied mathematics—specifically fluid mechanics, fractional differential equations, and computational modeling—resulting in 28 published papers in reputable journals like Chaos, Solitons & Fractals and Symmetry. A dedicated postgraduate mentor, he serves as a journal reviewer and has successfully supervised one Ph.D. scholar and over 24 MPhil/MS students.
