About Me
Sajjad Nawaz hails from the historic city of Bahawalpur. After completing his Masters in Painting from University College of Arts and Design, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur and received a gold medal for his exemplary performance. This was followed by a degree of MA (Hons.) Visual Art, from National College of Arts, Lahore in 2015. In September, 2016 Sajjad was selected for an artist?s Fellowship through collaboration between NCA, Lahore and The Charles Wallace Pakistan Trust. This enabled him to travel to London where he attended the prestigious Prince?s School of Traditional Arts. Throughout his career, Sajjad has showcased his work in numerous group and solo exhibitions, and received many awards. He is recipient of first ADA Award 2018-19 and also recipient of Young Artist Award of 2014 which is held each year at the Alhamra Art Gallery, Lahore. He has been a faculty member of MA (Hons.) Visual Art at National College of Arts,Lahore from 2016 to 2020. Recently he is faculty member at University College of Arts and Design, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur.
