About Me

Dr. Saima Bashir holds a PhD in English Literature with research focused on postcolonial studies, cultural identity, and transnational literary discourse. Her doctoral work, "Amin Maalouf’s Celebration of the Levant as a Code of Deterritorialization," examines how literature challenges fixed notions of territory and identity through representations of the cosmopolitan Levant. Her academic interests include diaspora studies, cultural hybridity, and contemporary literary theory, with particular attention to the works of Amin Maalouf. She is dedicated to teaching and research that explore the complexities of identity, culture, and globalization in modern literature.
