About Me
Dr. Rehman Hafeez serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Parasitology. He completed his Ph.D. degree in 2020 from the Department of Parasitology, Faculty of Veterinary Science, University of Agriculture Faisalabad. He is extremely interested in contributing his focus on education, research, and leading campus professional service activities.
His academic training as a parasitologist prepares him to be an effective researcher and instructor in the Department of Parasitology. His doctoral dissertation is focused on an innovative methodology involving the isolation of various predatory fungi species from across Pakistan, which could potentially be used for successful integrated parasite control programs. He is keen to further explore this methodology by collaborating in the future with the aim of expanding its potential reach and impact.
During his Ph.D. studies, he also served as a teaching assistant and taught various undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Moreover, he had the opportunity to go to Cornell University on the International Research Support Initiative Program (IRSIP) for a part of his Ph.D. research. Not only did he acquire promising scientific and technological knowledge there, but he also had the opportunity to assist colleagues in a teaching lab and obtain valuable experience. Professional skills like these provide him with a broad view that is beneficial in assisting students with projects/assignments and also help him explore avenues for further collaboration internationally.
