About Me
Dr. Rabia Tus Saleha, a passionate and experienced Lecturer (BPS-18) in The Department of Shari’ah & Law of The Islamia University of Bahawalpur since April 2022. For more than five years, she has been a noteworthy visiting faculty as Lecturer and Assistant Professor in The Faculty of Shari’ah & Law of International Islamic University Islamabad. She is a passionate researcher in the comparative study of Shari’ah, Pakistani Law, and International Law. She has written different Research Articles while analyzing and comparing Pakistani Law and International Law with Shari’ah. She earned her Ph.D. in Islamic Law and Jurisprudence from the International Islamic University Islamabad. She holds LLM degree with a specialization in the field of Human Rights Law. She has been awarded with distinction as well as 2nd and 3rd Position in two degrees respectively BA (General) and LLB (Hons) Shariah & Law by International Islamic University Islamabad. She holds "A" grade in her whole academic career.
She serves as an Associate Editor for an International Journal “Legal Transformation in Muslim Societies (Online ISSN 3029-097X)”. She has been granted the responsibility of international reviewer for the Journal “MEDIOVA: Journal of Islamic Media Studies (E ISSN 2798-5334)” since 2023. In addition to her primary job functions, she also holds administrative duties in the Department. She is interested in Shari’ah, Islamic Jurisprudence, Human Rights Law, International Humanitarian Law, and International Law.
She has also presented her research at international as well as national conferences held at International Islamic University, Islamabad and Fatima Jinnah Women University, Rawalpindi. Her experience also extends to working in international academic environments as evidenced through her selection for a program organized by Max Planck Foundation for International Peace and the Rule of Law in collaboration with International Islamic University, Islamabad and the Hamida Barmaki Organization for the Rule of Law.
