About Me
I completed my Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) in 2006 and 2007, respectively. Following my graduation, I had the privilege of serving my alma mater as Assistant Treasurer for approximately nine years, where I gained extensive experience in university financial administration, budgeting, and institutional governance.
Driven by a strong passion for academic excellence and professional development, I earned my MS in Finance from COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Islamabad in 2014. This advanced qualification strengthened my analytical, research, and financial management skills while deepening my interest in financial economics and public policy.
In 2016, I transitioned to academia by joining the Faculty of Management Sciences and Commerce at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur as an Assistant Professor. Since then, I have been actively engaged in teaching, research, and academic mentoring, striving to create a stimulating learning environment that encourages critical thinking and intellectual growth among students.
My academic and research interests lie in the areas of Public Finance, Corporate Finance, Financial Economics, Banking and Financial Institutions, Corporate Governance, Risk Management, and Sustainable Finance. I am particularly interested in examining the relationship between governance mechanisms, financial stability, risk structure, and institutional quality in emerging economies.
To enhance my research capabilities, I have acquired proficiency in a range of quantitative and econometric techniques, including panel data analysis, dynamic panel estimation, and advanced statistical methods. I continuously seek opportunities to expand my methodological expertise and contribute to high-quality, policy-relevant research. My long-term objective is to contribute meaningfully to academia through impactful teaching, rigorous research, scholarly publications, and community engagement while supporting the development of evidence-based financial and economic policies.
