About Me

Dr. Maria Atiq is currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Physics at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Pakistan. Her academic and research journey is rooted in the field of medical and health physics, with a strong focus on radiation therapy, dosimetry, and the design and biomedical applications of nanomaterials. She did PhD in Physics in 2019, where she worked extensively on evaluating dosimetric properties in external beam radiation therapy, aiming to improve treatment planning and patient safety. In addition to her academic responsibilities, she actively engage in research and supervise BS, MPhil  and PhD students in medical physics-related projects. With a strong commitment to advancing both research and education in applied physics and medical science, she continuously strive to contribute to impactful, translational research that benefits both the academic community and the healthcare sector.
