About Me
I, Madiha Sana, am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics with over two decades of experience in teaching, research, and academic service. My academic interests lie in Computational Mathematics, Numerical Analysis, and Scientific Computing, with a particular focus on numerical methods for two phase, multiphase fluid dynamics and phase-field modeling.
My current research is centered on developing accurate, stable, and efficient numerical methods for complex partial differential equations arising in fluid mechanics, especially diffuse-interface (phase-field) models for incompressible two-phase flows. I am particularly interested in designing numerical algorithms that preserve physical properties while providing reliable simulations of challenging flow phenomena.
Being a teacher, I am committed to creating an engaging learning environment that encourages analytical thinking, mathematical reasoning, and problem-solving skills. I enjoy mentoring undergraduate and postgraduate students and guiding them toward independent research.
Rather than pursuing research based solely on publication numbers, I believe in conducting careful, meaningful, and high-quality research that contributes lasting value to the scientific community. My goal is to develop robust computational techniques that address real scientific challenges and to collaborate with researchers working at the intersection of mathematics, computation, and engineering.
16 MPhil students have completed their degrees under my supervision and 02 PhD and 02 MPhil students are working under my supervision.
