About Me
Dr. Muhammad Sarfraz has multidisciplinary research interests spanning organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, green chemistry, computational chemistry, and computational biology, with emphasis on integrating experimental and computational strategies for drug discovery and sustainable chemical development. His research activities include organic synthesis and medicinal chemistry, focusing on biologically relevant small molecules for lead identification, lead optimization, and precision drug discovery.
Dr. Sarfraz is also interested in structural protein studies and computational biology, particularly the exploration of therapeutically relevant biomolecular targets to support rational drug design and mechanistic understanding of biological systems. In green chemistry, research focuses on deep eutectic solvents (DESs) and natural deep eutectic solvents (NADESs), including the design and synthesis of novel DES systems, their physicochemical properties, and their biological, pharmaceutical, and sustainable chemical applications.
