Dr. Hafeez Ullah is an accomplished and productive Associate Professor of Physics with over two decades of dedicated research and teaching experience in the field of "Biophotonics". His career is distinguished by a prolific publication record, significant international research collaborations, and a profound commitment to mentoring the next generation of scientists. His core expertise lies in developing and applying advanced optical techniques for non-invasive medical diagnostics and biomedical imaging.
Dr. Hafeez Ullah's research is centered on using light-based technologies to solve complex biomedical problems. His primary areas of expertise include:
-Biophotonics & Biomedical Optics: Specializing in non-invasive diagnostic methods for early disease detection, particularly for cancer, diabetes, and blood disorders.
- Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT): Extensive experience with Swept-Source (SS-OCT) and Spectral-Domain OCT for quantifying blood analytes (glucose, salt), imaging microvasculature, and detecting carcinomas.
- Optical Diffuse Reflectance Spectroscopy: Utilizing techniques, including those with femtosecond lasers, to measure the optical properties of biological tissues (skin, liver) for diagnostic purposes.
- Advanced Microscopy & Spectroscopy: Proficient in using FTIR, UV/VIS spectrophotometry, photoluminescence, and laser-based microscopy for tissue characterization, biomarker identification, and nanomaterials analysis.
-Current Role: Associate Professor of Physics, Institute of Physics, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) (2020-Present).
-Previous Roles: Assistant Professor at IUB (2016-2020) and Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan (2012-2016).
