Short Biography: Dr. Ghulam Sarwar has a track record of successful education, teaching and research activities. He Joined the Islamia University of Bahawalpur as a Lecturer at department of Life Sciences in Feb. 2013 and currently working as Lecturer at department of Botany. He grasped various awards and honors during his journey as described in following section. He has an honor to provide guide lines/ services for plant collection/identification (voucher specimen) for National and International graduate, postgraduate, MS/M.Phil. & Ph.D. students of various departments/ University constituent colleges and general public, interested in exploitation of plants resources for phyto-medicines, Ethnobotany and related subject areas. He has completed his Ph.D. on Stress Physiology of Olive tree. |

1. Rearing and Crossbreeding of Local Non-descript Goats with Boer Goats under Different Housing Systems to Enhance Mutton Production
With: PARB (2025-07 - 2027-12)
I am working as a team scientist under the team leadership of Dr. Faisal Shahzad, the project aims to enhance meat production through advanced breeding and housing strategies. The main outcomes include improved mutton yield through Boer goat crossbreeding, genetic upgradation of local breeds, assessment of different housing systems, development of standardized housing, breeding and management protocols, capacity building of farmers and students, reduction in mortality and disease burden, establishment of model demonstration units, economic uplift of rural communities, and contributions to scientific literature and policy formulation.As a Team Scientist, my key responsibilities will include:• Assisting in the execution of planned experiments and data collection• Supporting KPI relevant to your field in trials• Coordinating with other team members and collaborators• Contributing to progress reports, publications, and outreach activities• Ensuring the quality and integrity of research activities within your assigned domain
