Profile Summary

My name is Dr. Abdul Razzaq Farooqi, and I hold a BS and MS degree in Electronic Engineering from the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and GIK Institute, respectively. After completing my master’s degree, I had the opportunity to serve as a lecturer at the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology in Topi. In 2013, I joined the Department of Electronic Engineering at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur as a regular faculty member. In 2016, I was awarded a fully funded scholarship from the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan to pursue my PhD at the Faculty of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, University of Rostock, Germany. During my Ph.D., I have worked on computational models for biomedical applications. Since 2021, I have been serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronic Engineering at Islamia University of Bahawalpur. From 2024 to 2025, I worked as a Postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of General Electrical Engineering, University of Rostock, Germany. During my stay at the University of Rostock, Germany, I was affiliated with the Integrated Research Training Group within the Collaborative Research Centre (CRC) 1270 ELAINE, focusing on the transdisciplinary field of electrically active implants. My research interests include Cartilage tissue engineering, Computational modeling and simulation, Finite Element Methods, and Multiphysics problems.
