Profile Summary

Dr. Abdul Shakoor received his MSc degree in Applied Mathematics from Department of Mathematics, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Pakistan in September 2009. He started his professional career in October 2009 as Lecturer at Ali Post Graduate College of Sciences, Khanpur, Rahim Yar Khan. Later he got the Chinese Government Scholarship for PhD degree in Mathematics and went to China in September 2010. He completed his PhD degree in June 2014 under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hu Yang at College of Mathematics and Statistics, Chongqing University, Chongqing, China. His core competencies are in the field of Generalized Inverse Theory for Matrices, Matrix Inequalities and Integral Inequalities. During his doctorate study, he has established some results for the Drazin Inverses of the Sum of Two Matrices, Block Matrices and Modified Matrices. He has published research articles in well reputed international journals, and recognized as Outstanding International Graduate of Chongqing University, China for his excellence performance. He worked as Assistant Professor from August 2014 to August 2015 at Department of Mathematics, COMSATS University, Islamabad, Pakistan. He served as Assistant Professor from August 2015 to April 2022 in Mathematics Department, Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering & Information Technology, Rahim Yar Khan, Pakistan. 

He joined as Associate Professor in April 2022 at Department of Mathematics, The Islamia University of Bahwalpur, Pakistan. Up to now, 60 MPhil students have completed their degrees under his supervision.
