Islamia University of Bahawalpur Observes "Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir" with Rally and Seminar
Bahawalpur (PR) Under the auspices of the Directorate of Students Affairs, the Kashmir & Nazria-e-Pakistan Society of The Islamia University of Bahawalpur organized events to mark Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir on August 5, 2025. A rally was held in this regard, led by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Muhammad Kamran. A large number of faculty members, administrative officers, students, and staff actively participated in the event. Addressing the rally, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Muhammad Kamran stated that the entire Pakistani nation is protesting against the illegal and oppressive actions taken by India on August 5, 2019. He highlighted that the abrogation of Article 370 is a clear violation of United Nations resolutions and bilateral agreements between Pakistan and India. The people of Kashmir have out rightly rejected this forced and unjust move. On this occasion, Professor Dr. Abdul Rauf Dean Faculty of Chemical & Biological Sciences, Professor Dr. Jawad Iqbal Dean Faculty of Management Sciences & Commerce, Professor Dr. Asif Naveed Ranjha Chairman Department of Social Work, Professor Dr. Muhammad Asadullah Madni, Sheikh Tariq Mahmood Treasurer, Dr. Shehzad Ahmad Khalid Director Public Relations, Dr. Adnan Bukhari Additional Director Students Affairs, Dr. Ramzan Tahir Advisor, Kashmir & Nazria-e-Pakistan Society, students, faculty, and staff participated in large numbers. After the rally, a seminar was organized which was attended by faculty members, students, officers, and representatives from various student societies. The speakers reiterated that August 5 is one of the darkest days in the history of Jammu and Kashmir, when the Indian government unilaterally revoked Articles 370 and 35A of its own constitution to strip the region of its special status and enforce its illegal occupation. Every year, Pakistanis and Kashmiris across the world observe this day as Youm-e-Istehsal. Dr. Ramzan Tahir, Advisor to the Kashmir & Nazria-e-Pakistan Society, welcomed all the guests and shed detailed light on the history, culture, and the ongoing significance of the Kashmir issue. He appreciated the efforts of the Government of Pakistan and Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Muhammad Kamran for ensuring large-scale observance of this day in the university. Dr. Shehbaz Ali, Chairman Department of Public Administration, in his thought-provoking address, presented a comprehensive analysis of Kashmir’s past, present, and future. Drawing from his research and experience, he stated that only a strong and stable Pakistan can truly represent the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. He emphasized that national unity is essential to supporting the oppressed people of Kashmir. Dr. Naveen Javed, Advisor Character Building Society, said that August 5 marks the darkest day for Indian-Occupied Kashmir. On this day, India, through sheer force and serious human rights violations, imposed its illegitimate control over the region. She highlighted the silence of global powers on this matter as a major concern and stressed that the ongoing genocide of Kashmiris must be stopped. The future of Kashmir must be decided in accordance with the will of its people. Dr. Muhammad Adnan Bukhari, Additional Director Students Affairs, expressed deep concern over the brutal, fearful, and oppressive environment India has created in Kashmir. He stated that such conditions are severely damaging the mental health and psyche of the local population. Human rights organizations must give due attention to this issue so the people of Kashmir may return to a normal life. He lauded the efforts of the Kashmir & Nazria-e-Pakistan Society and its Advisor for effectively organizing awareness programs in line with provincial government directives, thereby sensitizing the youth on the Kashmir issue. He further reaffirmed that Pakistan will continue to support the cause of Kashmir on all fronts and expressed gratitude to all guests and participants for their attendance and support.

بہاولپور (پ ر) اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کشمیر اینڈ نظریہ پاکستان سوسائٹی ڈائریکٹوریٹ آف اسٹوڈنٹس افئیرز کے زیرِ اہتمام 5 اگست یومِ استحصال کشمیر منایا گیا۔ اس سلسلے میں ایک سیمینار کا انعقاد کیا گیا۔ وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران نے خطاب  کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ پوری پاکستانی قوم بھارت کے 5 اگست 2019 کے غیر آئینی اور جابرانہ اقدام کے خلاف احتجاج کر رہی ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ آرٹیکل 370 کی منسوخی اقوام متحدہ کی قراردادوں اور پاکستان و بھارت کے درمیان دو طرفہ معاہدوں کے منافی ہے۔ کشمیری عوام نے اس زبردستی کے اقدام کو مکمل طور پر مسترد کردیا ہے۔ اس موقع پر پروفیسر ڈاکٹرعبدالروف ڈین فیکلٹی آف کیمیکل اینڈ بایولوجیکل سائنسز، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر جواد اقبال ڈین فیکلٹی آف مینجمنٹ سائنسز اینڈ کامرس، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر آصف نوید رانجھا چیئرمین شعبہ سوشل ورک، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد اسداللہ مدنی، شیخ طارق محمود خزانہ دار، ڈاکٹر شہزاد احمد خالد ڈائریکٹر پبلک ریلیشنز، ڈاکٹر عدنان بخاری ایڈیشنل ڈائریکٹر اسٹوڈنٹس افیئرز، ڈاکٹر رمضان طاہر ایڈوائزر کشمیر اینڈ نظریہ پاکستان سوسائٹی، طلباءوطالبات اور ملازمین کی بڑی تعداد نے بھی شرکت کی۔ ڈاکٹر رمضان طاہر ایڈوائزر کشمیر اینڈ نظریہ پاکستان سوسائٹی نے کشمیر کی تاریخ، تہذیب، مسئلہ کشمیر کی افادیت اہمیت پر تفصیلی روشنی ڈالی حکومت پاکستان اور وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران کی کاوشوں کو سراہا کہ انہی کی ہدایات کے مطابق اس دن کو یونیورسٹی میں بڑے پیمانے پر منایا گیا ہے۔ سیمینار میں ڈاکٹر شہباز علی چیئرمین شعبہ پبلک ایڈمنسٹریشن نے اپنے فکر انگیز خیالات میں کشمیر کے ماضی، حال اور مستقبل کے بارے میں تفصیلی جائزہ پیش کیا۔ انھوں نے اپنے خیالات میں  اپنی تحقیق اور تجربات سے بھی حاضرین کو آگاہ کیا۔ ان کا کہنا تھا کہ ایک مضبوط پاکستان ہی کشمیریوں کی امنگوں کا بہترین ترجمان ہوسکتا ہے ہم اپنی صفوں میں اتحاد قائم کرکے ہی کشمیر کے نہتے لوگوں کی مدد کرسکتے ہیں۔ اس موقع پر ڈاکٹر نوین جاوید ایڈوائزر کریکٹر بلڈنگ سوسائٹی اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور نے اپنی گفتگو میں کہا کہ 5 اگست کا دن مقبوضہ کشمیر کے لئے سیاہ ترین دن ہے۔ غاصب بھارت نے اس روز اپنی طاقت کے بل بوتے پر انسانی حقوق کی سنگین خلاف ورزی کرتے ہوئے شب خون مار کر کشمیر پر اپنا تسلط جمایا تھا اور ابھی تک یہ سلسلہ جاری ہے اس ضمن میں عالمی طاقتوں کی خاموشی ایک سوالیہ نشان ہے۔ ضرورت اس امر کی ہے کہ کشمیریوں کی نسل کشی بند کرائی جائے اور ان کی امنگوں کے مطابق ان کے مستقبل کا فیصلہ کیا جائے۔ ڈاکٹر محمد عدنان بخاری ایڈیشنل ڈائریکٹر سٹوڈنٹ آفیرز نے اپنی گفتگو میں کہا کہ کشمیر میں بھارت نے جس طرح بربریت، خوف اور تشدّد کا ماحول قائم کر رکھا ہے ایسے ناموافق حالات میں وہاں کے باشندوں کی نفسیات پر شدید منفی اثرات مرتب ہو رہے ہیں۔ انسانی حقوق کی تنظیموں کو اس مسئلہ کے حل کی طرف پوری توجہ دینی چاہیے تاکہ وہاں کے باشندے اس مسئلے کے حل کے بعد اپنی معمول کی زندگیاں گزارسکیں۔ خوفزدہ ماحول انسانی نفسیات پر برے اثرات مرتب کرکے انسانی صلاحیتوں کو دیمک کی طرح چاٹ لیتا ہے۔ انھوں نے کشمیر اینڈ نظریہ پاکستان سوسائٹی کے ایڈوائزر اور پوری ٹیم کی کاوشوں کو سراہا صوبائی حکومت کی ہدایت کے مطابق اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور میں کشمیر اینڈ نظریہ پاکستان سوسائٹی نے مختلف پروگراموں کا انعقاد کرکے نئی نسل کو مسئلہ کشمیر سے بہترین آگاہی فراہم کی ہے انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ کشمیر کی آزادی کے لیے پاکستان ہر محاذ پر اپنی جدوجہد جاری رکھے گا۔
