The World Pharmacists Day ceremony was organized by the Islamia University Pharmacists Association at the Faculty of Pharmacy, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Vice Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Professor Dr. Muhammad Kamran was the chief guest on the occasion. In his address, the Vice Chancellor said that law, health and education have a fundamental role in the development of society. Education and training is the main aspect of teaching. Pharmacists have a key role in the health sector. The Islamia University Bahawalpur has a department of pharmacy with seasoned teachers, students and alumni having excellent abilities. The Department of Pharmacy is the crown of the Islamia University Bahawalpur all steps will be taken for the development of this department. This year, the theme of World Pharmacists Day is "Think Health, Think Pharmacist." On the occasion, Dean Faculty of Pharmacy and Allied Health Sciences Professor Dr. Qaiser Jaben, Prof. Dr. Asadullah Madani, Director Quality Enhancement Cell and President IU Pharmacists Association and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Atif Director ORIC and General Secretary IU Pharmacists Association spoke and highlightedthe signifcance of the day. Former Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar, former Dean Professor Dr. Rao Saeed Ahmed, Dr. Asad Abrar Director drug testing lab, Chief Pharmacist Dr. Maria, senior faculty members and delegates from pharmaceutical companies, Alumni and students attended. The participants said that this day highlights the importance of pharmacists in a sustainable and vibrant healthcare system. Especially in today’s era when all nations are facing health challenges globally and there is a shortage of manpower in this sector, the role of pharmacists becomes very important. Pharmacists are the backbone of drug safety. The Department of Pharmacy of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has enjoyed national and international fame for teaching and research in the field of Pharmacy at the Bachelor, MPhil and PhD levels for the past several decades. The presence of a large number of pharmacists and representatives of pharmaceutical companies is a manifestation of the fact that the Islamia University of Bahawalpur plays a key role in the field of Pharmacy across the country.

بہاولپور (پ ر) فیکلٹی آف فارمیسی اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور میں اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی فارماسسٹس ایسوسی ایشن کے زیر اہتمام ورلڈ فارماسسٹ ڈے کی تقریب منعقد ہوئی۔ وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران اس موقع پر مہمان خصوصی تھے۔ وائس چانسلر نے اپنے خطاب میں کہا کہ معاشرے کی ترقی میں قانون، صحت اور تعلیم کا بنیادی کردار ہے۔ تعلیم و تربیت درس و تدریس کا بنیادی پہلو ہے۔ فارماسسٹس شعبہ صحت میں کلیدی کردار کے حامل ہیں۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کا شعبہ فارمیسی اساتذہ، طلباءوطالبات اور ایلومنائی شاندار صلاحیتوں کے حامل ہیں۔ فارمیسی اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے سر کا تاج ہے اس شعبے کی ترقی کے لیے ہر تمام اقدامات کئے جائیں گے۔ یونیورسٹی کے ساتھ ساتھ یہ شعبہ بھی بہت جلد مسائل سے نکل کر ترقی کی راہیں طے کرے گا۔ امسال ورلڈ فارماسسٹ ڈے کا تھیم صحت کی سوچ ، فارماسسٹ کی سوچ ہے۔ اس موقع پر ڈین فیکلٹی آف فارمیسی اینڈ الائیڈ ہیلتھ سائنسز پروفیسر ڈاکٹر قیصر جبیں، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اسد اللہ مدنی، ڈائریکٹر کوالٹی انہاسمنٹ سیل و پریذیڈنٹ فارماسسٹس ایسوسی ایشن، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد عاطف ڈائریکٹر اورک و جنرل سیکریٹری فارماسسٹس ایسوسی ایشن اورسابق صدر آیوپا ڈاکٹر قمر زمان نے خطاب کیا۔ تقریب میں سابق وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نوید اختر، سابق ڈین پروفیسر ڈاکٹر راو سعید احمد، ڈاکٹر اسد ابرار ڈائریکٹر ڈرگ ٹیسٹنگ لیب، چیف فارماسسٹ ڈاکٹر ماریہ،  سینئر فیکلٹی ممبران ادویہ ساز کمپنیوں سے پیشہ ورافراد، ایلومنائی اور طلباو طالبات شریک ہوئے۔ شرکاء کا کہنا تھا کہ یہ دن ایک دیرپا اور جاندار ہیلتھ کیئر سسٹم میں فارماسسٹس کی اہمیت کو اجاگر کرتا ہے۔ خاص طور پر آج کے دور میں جب عالمی طور پر سبھی اقوام کو صحت کے چیلنجز کا سامنا ہے اور اس شعبے میں افرادی قوت کی کمی ہے، فارماسسٹ کا کردار بہت اہم ہو جاتا ہے۔ فارماسسٹ ادویاتی تحفظ میں ریڑھ کی ہڈی کی حیثیت رکھتے ہیں۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کا شعبہ فارمیسی گزشتہ کئی دہائیوں سے فارمیسی کے شعبے میں بیچلر ، ایم فل اور پی ایچ ڈی کی ڈگری کے حوالے سے تدریس و تحقیق میں قومی اور عالمی شہرت کا حامل ہے۔ بڑی تعداد میں فارماسسٹ اور ادویات ساز کمپنیوں کے نمائندوں کی موجودگی اس بات کا مظہر ہے کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور فارمیسی کے شعبے میں ملک بھر میں کلیدی کردار کا حامل ہے۔
