Webinar on the occasion of 150th birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah held at the IUB

A special international webinar was organized by Kashmir and Nazriya e Pakistan Society the Directorate of Students Affairs, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, on the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. The webinar was chaired by Professor Dr. Rubina Bhatti, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, while Alina Tariq Chohan, Lecturer, Department of English, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, conducted the moderator duties. At the beginning of the webinar, Alina Tariq Chohan welcomed the distinguished guests and participants, after which Dr. Muhammad Ramzan Tahir, Advisor, Kashmir and Nazriya e Pakistan Society, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, delivered the welcome address. He welcomed all the speakers and participants, shedding light on the personality, political vision, struggle and basic objectives of the establishment of Pakistan of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. In the webinar, Hafiz Muhammad Tahir, Senior Bureaucrat and Secretary Interfaith Harmony, Government of Balochistan, specially expressed his views and drew attention to the important question that we should take a national review to see if we are moving in the right direction to achieve the goals and vision under which Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Muhammad Iqbal fought for the establishment of Pakistan. He said that if our direction is right, it is a matter of satisfaction, but if we are moving away from national goals, then we need to correct our direction and re-determine our priorities. Brigadier (Rtd) Dr. Waheed-uz-Zaman Tariq, renowned writer, researcher and expert in Quaid-e-Azam and Iqbal studies, Lahore, expressed his views on various aspects of the thoughts and ideas of Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal. His talk highlighted the importance of Quaid-e-Azam's leadership and Iqbal's intellectual guidance along with his research insights. Engineer Inayat Ali, a renowned writer, researcher and prominent researcher of the biography and thoughts of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, former Chief Engineer, Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission, shed light on various aspects of Quaid-e-Azam's personality, political struggle, leadership and national character. He presented important academic points in the context of his long research and writing efforts on Quaid-e-Azam. Professor Javeria Abdul Haq, Chief Instructor, Balochistan Academy for College Teachers also participated in the webinar and expressed his views on the thoughts of Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal, education, national consciousness and intellectual training of the new generation. She is also a prominent scholar of the thoughts of Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal and is playing an active role in academic and literary activities. Dr. Najiba Arif, Director General of the Pakistan Academy of Letters, sent a special message for the webinar in which she expressed her best wishes to the organizers and participants and appreciated this important academic effort. During the webinar, all the speakers agreed that it is not enough to remember the personality of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah as a historical figure alone, but it is the need of the hour to make his principles, character, integrity, discipline, unity, national solidarity and constitutional struggle a source of practical guidance in national life. In addition to Pakistan, a large number of participants from Dubai, England, Kuwait, the Netherlands, Turkey, Iran and various countries of the world participated in the webinar online and benefited from the academic and intellectual discussions of the distinguished speakers. This global participation made the webinar an effective international academic and intellectual dialogue. At the end, Dr. Muhammad Ramzan Tahir, Advisor Kashmir and Nazriya e Pakistan Society, thanked all the distinguished speakers, the President of the Majlis, Dr. Najiba Arif, who sent a special message, and all the participants from all over the world. He said that organizing such academic sessions on the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah is a serious effort to enlighten the new generation with the character, thought and national vision of Quaid-e-Azam and to review the current journey of Pakistan in the light of its fundamental national objectives. The webinar, titled Muhammad Ali Jinnah, A Timeless Story of Courage and Determination, was very informative, intellectual and effective and provided an opportunity to understand the personality and thought of Quaid-e-Azam in the context of the present era as well as a meaningful intellectual dialogue regarding the national journey, direction and future of Pakistan.

اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کشمیر اینڈ نظریہ پاکستان سوسائٹی ڈائریکٹوریٹ آف اسٹوڈنٹس افیئرز کے زیر اہتمام قائداعظم محمد علی جناحؒ کی 150ویں سالگرہ کے حوالے سے محمد علی جناح جرأت و عزم کی ایک لازوال داستان کے موضوع پر ایک خصوصی بین الاقوامی ویبینار منعقد ہوا۔ ویبینار کی صدارت پروفیسر ڈاکٹر روبینہ بھٹی، ڈین فیکلٹی آف سوشل سائنسز، اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور نے کی، جبکہ علینہ طارق چوہان، لیکچرار شعبہ انگلش، اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور نے نظامت کے فرائض انجام دیے۔ ویبینار کے آغاز پر علینہ طارق چوہان نے معزز مہمانان اور شرکاء کا خیر مقدم کیا، جس کے بعد ڈاکٹر محمد رمضان طاہر، ایڈوائزر کشمیر اینڈ نظریہ پاکستان سوسائٹی، اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور نے خطبہ استقبالیہ پیش کیا۔ انہوں نے قائداعظم محمد علی جناحؒ کی شخصیت، سیاسی بصیرت، جدوجہد اور قیامِ پاکستان کے بنیادی مقاصد پر روشنی ڈالتے ہوئے تمام مقررین اور شرکا کو خوش آمدید کہا۔ ویبینار میں حافظ محمد طاہر، سینئر بیوروکریٹ اور سیکرٹری انٹر فیتھ ہارمنی، حکومتِ بلوچستان نے خصوصی طور پر اظہارِ خیال کرتے ہوئے اس اہم سوال کی طرف توجہ دلائی کہ ہمیں اپنا قومی جائزہ لینا چاہیے کہ قائداعظمؒ اور علامہ محمد اقبالؒ نے جس مقصد اور وژن کے تحت پاکستان کے قیام کی جدوجہد کی تھی، کیا ہم آج ان مقاصد کے حصول کی درست سمت میں گامزن ہیں۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ اگر ہماری سمت درست ہے تو یہ اطمینان کی بات ہے، لیکن اگر ہم قومی اہداف سے دور ہو رہے ہیں تو ہمیں اپنی سمت درست کرنے اور اپنی ترجیحات کا ازسرِنو تعین کرنے کی ضرورت ہے۔ بریگیڈیئر (ر) ڈاکٹر وحیدالزمان طارق، معروف مصنف، محقق اور ماہرِ مطالعاتِ قائداعظم و اقبالیات، لاہور نے قائداعظمؒ اور علامہ اقبالؒ کے افکار و نظریات کے مختلف پہلوؤں پر اظہارِ خیال کیا۔ ان کی گفتگو میں تحقیقی بصیرت کے ساتھ ساتھ قائداعظمؒ کی قیادت اور اقبالؒ کی فکری رہنمائی کی اہمیت کو اجاگر کیا گیا۔ انجینئر عنایت علی، معروف مصنف، محقق اور قائداعظم محمد علی جناحؒ کے سوانح و افکار کے ممتاز محقق، سابق چیف انجینئر پاکستان اٹامک انرجی کمیشن نے قائداعظمؒ کی شخصیت، سیاسی جدوجہد، قیادت اور قومی کردار کے مختلف پہلوؤں پر روشنی ڈالی۔ انہوں نے قائداعظمؒ کے حوالے سے اپنی طویل تحقیقی و تصنیفی کاوشوں کے تناظر میں اہم علمی نکات پیش کیے۔پروفیسر جویریہ عبدالحق، چیف انسٹرکٹر، بلوچستان اکیڈمی فار کالج ٹیچرز نے بھی ویبینار میں شرکت کی اور قائداعظمؒ اور علامہ اقبالؒ کی فکر، تعلیم، قومی شعور اور نئی نسل کی فکری تربیت کے حوالے سے اظہارِ خیال کیا۔ وہ قائداعظمؒ اور علامہ اقبالؒ کے افکار کی ممتاز اسکالر بھی ہیں اور علمی و ادبی سرگرمیوں میں فعال کردار ادا کررہی ہیں۔ ڈاکٹر نجیبہ عارف ڈائریکٹر جنرل اکادمی ادبیات پاکستان نے ویبینار کے لیے خصوصی پیغام ارسال کیا جس میں منتظمین اور شرکا کے لیے نیک خواہشات کا اظہار کیا اور اس اہم علمی کاوش کو سراہا۔ ویبینار کے دوران تمام مقررین نے اس امر پر اتفاق کیا کہ قائداعظم محمد علی جناحؒ کی شخصیت کو صرف ایک تاریخی شخصیت کے طور پر یاد کرنا کافی نہیں بلکہ ان کے اصول، کردار، دیانت، نظم و ضبط، اتحاد، قومی یکجہتی اور آئینی جدوجہد کو قومی زندگی میں عملی رہنمائی کا ذریعہ بنانا وقت کی اہم ضرورت ہے۔ ویبینار میں پاکستان کے علاوہ دبئی، انگلینڈ، کویت، نیدرلینڈز، ترکی، ایران اور دنیا کے مختلف ممالک سے کثیر تعداد میں شرکا نے آن لائن شرکت کی اور ممتاز مقررین کی علمی و فکری گفتگو سے استفادہ کیا۔ اس عالمی شرکت نے ویبینار کو ایک مؤثر بین الاقوامی علمی و فکری مکالمے کی صورت دے دی۔ اختتام پر ڈاکٹر محمد رمضان طاہر، ایڈوائزر کشمیر اینڈ نظریۂ پاکستان سوسائٹی نے تمام معزز مقررین، صدرِ مجلس، خصوصی پیغام ارسال کرنے والی ڈاکٹر نجیبہ عارف اور دنیا بھر سے شریک ہونے والے تمام شرکا کا شکریہ ادا کیا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ قائداعظم محمد علی جناحؒ کی 150 ویں سالگرہ کے موقع پر ایسی علمی نشستوں کا انعقاد نئی نسل کو قائداعظمؒ کے کردار، فکر اور قومی وژن سے روشناس کرانے اور پاکستان کے موجودہ سفر کا اپنے بنیادی قومی مقاصد کی روشنی میں جائزہ لینے کی ایک سنجیدہ کوشش ہے۔ محمد علی جناح جرأت و عزم کی ایک لازوال داستان کے عنوان سے منعقد ہونے والا یہ ویبینار نہایت معلوماتی، فکری اور مؤثر رہا اور اس نے قائداعظمؒ کی شخصیت و فکر کو موجودہ عہد کے تناظر میں سمجھنے کے ساتھ ساتھ پاکستان کے قومی سفر، سمت اور مستقبل کے حوالے سے ایک بامعنی فکری مکالمے کا موقع فراہم کیا۔
