On the occasion of International Women’s Day 2026, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) proudly reaffirms its commitment to the global theme, "Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL Women and Girls," by celebrating the indispensable role women play in our national and global socio-economic development. As a high-ranking institution, IUB is home to thousands of female students, faculty, and staff whose brilliance shines across academic research, leadership in our apex bodies, sports, and co-curricular achievements. To translate our commitment into tangible Action, the current University administration is prioritizing the welfare of our female community through the establishment of four dedicated day-care centers with the support of Government of the Punjab at the Abbasia, Khwaja Fareed, Bahawalnagar, and Rahim Yar Khan campuses, alongside the robust support provided by our Women Health Care Department and Women Development Center. By celebrating our annual Women’s Week, we do more than just acknowledge progress; we pledge to continue fostering an environment where every woman has the justice, support, and opportunity to lead and inspire the next generation.
