Vice Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran paid a detailed visit to the Faculty of Chemical and Biological Sciences. The visit was arranged on the request of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Saleem, Dean Faculty of Chemical and Biological Sciences. Vice Chancellor inspected state-of-the-art laboratories of the Departments of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Botany, Institute of Chemistry, and Zoology. The VC took keen interest in the research equipment, ongoing MPhil and PhD projects, and the practical facilities available to undergraduate students. He emphasized the need to further strengthen academia-industry linkages, research commercialization, and social media outreach to attract quality students. The Vice Chancellor said that Life Sciences are the backbone of the national economy and play a vital role in health, agriculture, environment, and industry. He praised the modern facilities and international standard of the Material Chemistry Lab at Institute of Chemistry, and he assured full support for modernization of labs, new MOUs with national R&D organizations, and branding of Faculty of Chemical and Biological Sciences as a center of excellence in South Punjab. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Saleem, Dean Faculty of Chemical and Biological Sciences, thanked the Vice Chancellor for his continuous support and visionary leadership. He presented to the Vice Chancellor the faculty’s accomplishments and the strategic plan of the FCBS 360° Outreach Task Force for sustained branding and outreach across the year. Directors, Chairpersons, and faculty members were also present on the occasion. The visit concluded with the Vice Chancellor’s instructions for enhancing research output and preparing students for government, private sector, and entrepreneurship opportunities.

وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران نے فیکلٹی آف کیمیکل اینڈ بائیولوجیکل سائنسز کا تفصیلی دورہ کیا۔ اس دورے کا اہتمام پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد سلیم ڈین نے کیا۔ وائس چانسلر نے بائیو کیمسٹری اور مالیکیولر بیالوجی بائیو انفارمیٹکس بائیو ٹیکنالوجی باٹنی انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف کیمسٹری اور زوالوجی کے شعبوں کی جدید ترین لیبارٹریز کا معائنہ کیا۔ انہوں نے تحقیقی آلات میں گہری دلچسپی لی جاری ایم فل اور پی ایچ ڈی پروجیکٹس اور انڈر گریجویٹ طلباءوطالبات کے لیے دستیاب عملی سہولیات کو سراہا۔ انہوں نےاکیڈمی اور انڈسٹری کے روابط کو مزید مضبوط کرنے ریسرچ کمرشلائزیشن اور سوشل میڈیا آؤٹ ریچ کی ضرورت پر زور دیا۔ وائس چانسلر نے کہا کہ لائف سائنسز قومی معیشت میں ریڑھ کی ہڈی کی حیثیت رکھتے ہیں اور صحت زراعت ماحولیات اور صنعت میں اہم کردار ادا کرتے ہیں۔ انہوں نے انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف کیمسٹری میں میٹریل کیمسٹری لیب کی جدید سہولیات اور بین الاقوامی معیار کی تعریف کی اور انہوں نے لیبز کو جدید بنانے، قومی ریسرچ اینڈ ڈویلپمنٹ اداروں کے ساتھ نئے معاہدوں کی جنوبی پنجاب میں سنٹر آف ایکسی لینس کے طور پر برانڈنگ کے لیے مکمل تعاون کا یقین دلایا۔  پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد سلیم ڈین نے وائس چانسلر کی مسلسل حمایت اور دور اندیش قیادت کا شکریہ ادا کیا۔ انہوں نے وائس چانسلر کو فیکلٹی کی کامیابیوں اور FCBS 360° آؤٹ ریچ ٹاسک فورس کے اسٹریٹجک پلان کو سال بھر میں پائیدار برانڈنگ اور آؤٹ ریچ کے لیے پیش کیا۔ اس موقع پر ڈائریکٹرز چیئرپرسنز اور فیکلٹی ممبران بھی موجود تھے۔
