Additional Chief Secretary South Punjab Fuad Hashim Rabbani met with Vice Chancellor Islamia University of Bahawalpur Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran at the South Punjab Secretariat. Additional Chief Secretary Fuad Hashim Rabbani while talking said that Islamia University of Bahawalpur is a great educational institution which is playing a prominent role in the promotion of knowledge and skills in the region. He said that special attention should be paid to innovation and science and research in various departments of the university because today's development is linked to science and technology. He suggested that technology based exhibitions should be organized as a regular event in the university so that students interested in scientific innovations are encouraged and they get an opportunity to show their talents. Moreover, representatives of private sector industrialists and chambers of South Punjab should also be included in the IT exhibitions. The Additional Chief Secretary assured that full efforts will be made to increase the university grant. On this occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran said that Islamia University Bahawalpur, being the largest university in South Punjab, is playing a prominent role in the educational, social and economic development of the region. The university is paying full attention to academic excellence and quality education. All educational programs are being integrated with the dimensions of artificial intelligence, as a new BS program in Climate Change and Artificial Intelligence has been introduced. Research awards have been launched to attract researchers towards research for the country's priorities and the benefit of the common man. Links with government and private institutions are being promoted for cooperation in research projects, especially in agricultural and industrial research. The Vice Chancellor gave a briefing on the various projects underway in the university on the occasion and invited the Additional Chief Secretary to participate in the upcoming projects exhibition of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology and the Faculty of Computing. Registrar Islamia University Muhammad Shajiur Rehman and PSO Ghulam Sarwar were also present in the meeting.

ایڈیشنل چیف سیکرٹری جنوبی پنجاب فواد ہاشم ربانی سے وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران نے جنوبی پنجاب سیکرٹریٹ میں ملاقات کی۔ ایڈیشنل چیف سیکرٹری فواد ہاشم ربانی نے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور ایک عظیم تعلیمی ادارہ ہے جو خطے میں علم و ہنر کے فروغ میں نمایاں کردار ادا کررہا ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ یونیورسٹی کے مختلف شعبوں میں جدت طرازی اور سائنس و تحقیق پر خصوصی توجہ دی جائے کیونکہ آج کی ترقی سائنس و ٹیکنالوجی سے منسلک ہے۔ انہوں نے تجویز دی کہ یونیورسٹی میں ٹیکنالوجی پر مبنی نمائشوں کو ایک مستقل ایونٹ کے طور پر منظم کیا جائے تاکہ سائنسی ایجادات میں دلچسپی رکھنے والے طلبہ کی حوصلہ افزائی ہو اور انہیں اپنی صلاحیتیں دکھانے کا موقع ملے۔ مزید برآں آئی ٹی نمائشوں میں پرائیویٹ سیکٹر صنعتکاروں اور ساوتھ پنجاب کے چیمبرز کے نمائندوں کو بھی شامل کیا جائے۔ ایڈیشنل چیف سیکرٹری نے یقین دلایا کہ یونیورسٹی گرانٹ میں اضافے کے لیے بھرپور کوشش کی جائے گی۔ اس موقع پر وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران نے کہا  کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور جنوبی پنجاب کی سب سے بڑی جامعہ ہونے کے ناطے خطے کی تعلیمی، سماجی اور معاشی ترقی کے لیے نمایاں کردار ادا کررہی ہے۔ جامعہ میں اکیڈمک ایکسیلینس اور کوالٹی ایجوکیشن پر بھرپور توجہ دی جا رہی ہے۔ تمام تعلیمی پروگراموں کو مصنوعی ذہانت کی جہتوں سے مربوط کیا جا رہا ہے جیسا کہ کلائمیٹ چینج اور آرٹیفیشل انٹیلیجنس کا نیا بی ایس پروگرام متعارف کرایا گیا ہے۔ محققین کو ملکی ترجیحات اور عام آدمی کے فائدے کے لیے تحقیق کی جانب راغب کرنے کے لیے ریسرچ ایوارڈز کا آغاز کیا گیا ہے ۔ تحقیقی منصوبوں خاص طور پر زرعی اور صنعتی تحقیق میں تعاون کے لئے حکومتی اور نجی اداروں سے روابط کو فروغ دیا جا رہا ہے۔ وائس چانسلر نے موقع پر یونیورسٹی میں جاری مختلف پراجیکٹس پر بریفنگ دی اور ایڈیشنل چیف سیکرٹری کو فیکلٹی آف انجینئرنگ اینڈ ٹیکنالوجی اور فیکلٹی آف کمپیوٹنگ کی آئندہ پراجیکٹس نمائش میں شرکت کی دعوت دی۔ رجسٹرار اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی محمد شجیع الرحمن اور پی ایس او غلام سرور بھی ملاقات میں موجود تھے۔
