VC Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran has said that the 100th anniversary of the IUB will be celebrated in a grand manner.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran has said that the 100th anniversary of the religious and national services of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur will be celebrated in a grand manner. On this occasion, the State Bank of Pakistan will issue a commemorative coin of Rs. 100. Pakistan Postal Services will issue a special commemorative stamp. The Vice Chancellor expressed these views while presiding over a meeting of the special committee and administrators formed for the 100th anniversary celebrations of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. The meeting was attended by deans, principal officers, heads of departments, faculty members and officers. The committee secretary established for these celebrations, Dr. Shahzad Ahmed Khalid, gave details of the celebrations to be held from August 1, 2025 to June 2026. It was informed in the briefing that the logo and slogan of the centenary celebrations of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, “Honoring the Past, inspiring the future – 100 years of Academic Legacy”, have been released. The ceremony to be held on August 1 at the Abbasia campus will pay tribute to the founder of Abbasia University, Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan Abbasi V, and the first Sheikh-ul-Jamia Maulana Ghulam Muhammad Ghotvi. Members of the Abbasia family, parliamentarians, government officials, dignitaries of the city, civil society, teachers and students will participate in the ceremony. The Vice Chancellor said that the main gate of the Abbasia campus will be dedicated to the centenary celebrations. A garden consisting of 100 trees will be planted and they will be named after 100 eminent personalities of the university. He said that the anthem of the university will also be composed. The centenary convocation of the university and the grand alumni ceremony will be held in the month of November. This year, a special tradition of taking the oath will also be started at the introductory ceremony of students. Special events include conferences, seminars, book fairs, research expo, centenary awards, job fairs, flower exhibitions and other events.

بہاولپور (پ ر) وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران نے کہا ہے کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کی دینی اور ملی خدمات کی 100 سالہ تقریبات شایاں نشان انداز میں منائی جائیں گی۔ اس موقع پر اسٹیٹ بنک آف پاکستان 100 روپے مالیت کا یادگاری سکہ جاری کرے گا۔ پاکستان پوسٹل سروسز خصوصی یادگاری ڈاک ٹکٹ جاری کرے گا۔ وائس چانسلر نے ان خیالات کا اظہار اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کی 100 سالہ تقریبات کے لیے بنائی گئی خصوصی کمیٹی اور منتظمین کے اجلاس کی صدارت کرتے ہوئے کیا۔ اجلاس میں ڈینز، پرنسپل آفیسر، شعبہ جات کے سربراہان، فیکلٹی ممبران اور افسران شریک ہوئے۔ ان تقریبات کے لیے قائم کی گئی کمیٹی سیکریٹری ڈاکٹر شہزاد احمد خالد نے یکم اگست 2025 سے جون 2026 تک منعقد ہونے والی تقریبات کی تفصیل بیان کی۔ بریفنگ میں بتایا گیا کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کی صد سالہ تقریبات کا لوگو اور سلوگن''ماضی کی شان،مستقبل کی امید، 100 سالہ تعلیمی میراث'' جاری کر دیا گیا ہے۔ یکم اگست کو عباسیہ کیمپس میں منعقد ہونے والی تقریب میں بانی جامعہ عباسیہ سر صادق محمد خان عباسی پنجم اور اولین شیخ الجامعہ مولانا غلام محمد گھوٹوی کو خراج تحسین پیش کیا جائے گا۔ اس موقع پر منعقدہ تقریب میں خاندان عباسیہ کے افراد، پارلیمنٹرینز، سرکاری حکام، معززین شہر، سول سوسائٹی، اساتذہ اور طلبا و طالبات شریک ہوں گے۔ وائس چانسلر نے کہا کہ عباسیہ کیمپس کی مرکزی دروازے کوصد سالہ تقریبات سے منسوب کیا جائے گا۔ 100 درختوں پر مشتمل باغ کی شجرکاری ہوگی اور ان کو جامعہ کی 100 نامور شخصیات کے نام کیا جائے گا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ جامعہ کا ترانہ بھی مرتب کیا جائے گا۔ نومبر کے مہینے میں جامعہ کا صد سالہ کانووکیشن اور ایلومنائی کی عظیم و شان تقریب منعقد ہو گی۔ اس سال طلباوطالبات کی تعارفی تقریب میں حلف لینے کی خصوصی روایت کا آغاز بھی کیا جائے گا۔ خصوصی ایونٹس میں کانفرنسز، سیمینار، کتاب میلہ، ریسرچ ایکسپو، سو سالہ ایوارڈز، جاب فیئر، پھولوں کی نمائش اور دیگر تقریبات شامل ہیں۔
