Training workshop on Outcomes-Based Education (OBE) Framework conducted at IUB Bahawalnagar Campus

Vice Chancellor of Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, has said that in the world, education with sustainable results is being provided to students by making teaching methods easy and effective with technology and innovation. The Vice Chancellor was expressing these views in his extended address at a training workshop organized by the Quality Enhancement Cell for the faculty members of Bahawalnagar Campus and teachers of affiliated colleges. He said that outcome-based education, i.e., effective and systematic teaching, is very important for quality education. The teaching standards of the campus will be brought to world-class level and teaching and learning in affiliated colleges will be brought to the same standard. For this purpose, special training workshops have been organized in Bahawalpur and Rahim Yar Khan campuses. The Quality Enhancement Cell of the university is working very actively. Director of Quality Enhancement Cell, Professor Dr. Muhammad Asadullah Madani said that by organizing these training workshops, quality standards will be implemented and applied uniformly in the university campuses and affiliated colleges as per the vision of the Vice Chancellor. After attending this workshop, the representatives of the Quality Enhancement Cell will train the remaining teachers as trainers and this series will be regularized as per the directions of the Vice Chancellor. Campus Director Prof. Dr. Rafaqat Ali thanked the Vice Chancellor for organizing the Quality Enhancement Cell workshop at Bahawalnagar Campus and for the special address. He also thanked Registrar Muhammad Shajiur Rahman and the Affiliation Committee. Teachers of the affiliated colleges appreciated the organization of workshops to develop teaching skills on modern lines and termed it a key step for improving the quality of education. Member of Provincial Assembly and Member Syndicate Sohail Khan Zahid also met the Vice Chancellor and appreciated the steps taken for the quality of education in the university. The Vice Chancellor also inaugurated the laboratory of the Zoology Department on the campus. He visited the classes of Urdu, Botany, Zoology, Computer Science, Physics and Management Sciences and appreciated the dedication and discipline of the students towards their education.

وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران نے کہا ہے کہ دنیا میں تدریسی طریقوں کو ٹیکنالوجی اور جدت سے آسان اور موثر بنا کر طلباءوطالبات کے لیے پائیدار نتائج کی حامل تعلیم دی جارہی ہے۔ وائس چانسلر نے ان خیالات کا اظہار کوالٹی انہانسمنٹ سیل کے زیر اہتمام بہاولنگر کیمپس کے فیکلٹی ممبران اور ملحقہ کالجز کے اساتذہ کے لئے منعقدہ تربیتی ورکشاپ میں اپنے توسیعی خطاب میں کر رہے تھے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ کوالٹی ایجوکیشن کے لیئے آوٹ کم بیسڈ ایجوکیشن یعنی نتیجہ خیز اور منظم تدریس بہت ضروری ہے۔ کیمپس کے تدریسی معیار کو عالمی سطح اور ملحقہ کالجز میں درس و تدریس کو اسی معیار پر لایا جاے گا۔ اس مقصد کے لیے بہاولپور اور رحیم یار خان کیمپسز میں خصوصی تربیتی ورکشاپ منعقد ہوچکی ہیں۔ جامعہ کا کوالٹی انہانسمنٹ سیل بہت فعال انداز میں کام کررہا ہے۔ ڈائریکٹر کوالٹی انہانسمنٹ سیل پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد اسداللہ مدنی نے کہا کہ ان تربیتی ورکشاپ کے انعقاد سے وائس چانسلر کے ویژن کے مطابق کوالٹی معیارات کا یونیورسٹی کیمپسز اور ملحقہ کالجز میں یکساں نفاذ اور اطلاق ہوگا۔ کوالٹی انہانسمنٹ سیل کے نمائندگان اس ورکشاپ میں شرکت کے بعد ٹرینرز کے طور پر باقی اساتذہ کو تربیت دیں گے اور اس سلسلے کو وائس چانسلر کی ہدایت کے مطابق باقاعدہ بنایا جائے گا۔ کیمپس ڈائریکٹر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر رفاقت علی نے کوالٹی انہانسمنٹ سیل کی ورکشاپ بہاولنگر کیمپس میں منعقد کرنے اور خصوصی خطاب پر وائس چانسلر کا شکریہ ادا کیا۔ انہوں نے رجسٹرار محمد شجیع الرحمن اور ایفیلیشن کمیٹی کا بھی شکریہ ادا کیا۔ ملحقہ کالجز کے اساتذہ نے تدریسی استعداد کار کو جدید خطوط پر استوار کرنے کے لیے ورکشاپس کے انعقاد کو سراہتے ہوئے معیار تعلیم میں اضافے کے لئے کلیدی اہمیت کا حامل اقدام قرار دیا۔ وائس چانسلر سے رکن صوبائی اسمبلی و ممبر سینڈیکیٹ سہیل خان زاہد نے بھی ملاقات کی اور یونیورسٹی میں معیار تعلیم کے لیے اقدامات کو سراہا۔ وائس چانسلر نے کیمپس میں ذوالوجی ڈیپارٹمنٹ کی لیبارٹری کا بھی افتتاح کیا۔ انہوں نے اردو، باٹنی، ذوالوجی، کمپیوٹر سائنس، فزکس اور مینجمنٹ سائنسز کی کلاسز کا دورہ کیا اور طلباء وطالبات کی تعلیم سے لگن اور نظم و ضبط کو سراہا۔
