Vice Chancellor of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Professor Dr. Muhammad Kamran, has said that the Environment Protection Authority is working on scientific grounds for monitoring environmental pollution and a clean environment in the Punjab province. The Punjab government has installed two modern monitoring stations for measuring the air quality index at Abbasia Campus and Baghdad-ul-Jadeed Campus of Islamia University of Bahawalpur. With the installation of these devices, real data on air pollution is available in Bahawalpur. The Vice Chancellor expressed these views while talking to the media during a visit to the Air Quality Index Monitoring Station installed at the Institute of Agro Industry, Faculty of Agriculture and Environment. On this occasion, Director Prof. Dr. Ghulam Hassan Abbasi gave a briefing on the advanced system for measuring environmental pollution. The Vice Chancellor directed that the scientists of the university should use environmental information for research activities and play an effective role for a better environment. Director Public Relations, Dr. Shahzad Ahmed Khalid, Dr Muhammad Ali and representatives of the Environment Protection Authority were also present on the occasion.

بہاولپور (پ ر) وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران نے کہا ہے کہ انوائرمنٹ پروٹیکشن اتھارٹی پنجاب میں ماحولیاتی آلودگی پر نظر رکھنے اور صاف ستھرے ماحول کے لیے سائنسی بنیادوں پر کام کر رہی ہے۔ پنجاب حکومت نے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے عباسیہ کیمپس اور بغدادالجدید کیمپس میں ایئر کوالٹی انڈیکس کی پیمائش کے لیے دو جدید مانیٹرنگ اسٹیشنز نصب کیے ہیں۔ ان مانیٹرنگ اسٹیشنز کی تنصیب سے بہاولپور میں فضائی آلودگی کا حقیقی ڈیٹا دستیاب ہوگا۔ وائس چانسلر نے ان خیالات کا اظہار انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف ایگرو انڈسٹری فیکلٹی آف ایگریکلچر اینڈ انوائرمنٹ میں نصب ایئر کوالٹی انڈیکس مانیٹرنگ سٹیشن کے دورے کے موقع پر میڈیا سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے کیا۔ اس موقع پر ڈائریکٹر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر غلام حسن عباسی نے ماحولیاتی آلودگی کی پیمائش کے جدید نظام کے بارے میں بریفنگ دی۔ وائس چانسلر نے ہدایت کی کہ یونیورسٹی کے سائنسدان ماحولیاتی معلومات کو تحقیقی سرگرمیوں کے لیے استعمال کریں اور بہتر ماحول کے لیے موثر کردار ادا کریں۔ اس موقع پر ڈائریکٹر پبلک ریلیشنز ڈاکٹر شہزاد احمد خالد ڈاکٹر محمد علی اسسٹنٹ پروفیسر اور انوائرمنٹ پروٹیکشن اتھارٹی کے نمائندے بھی موجود تھے۔
