Teachers, students and staff rallied to highlight identity and sanctity of Islamia University of Bahawalpur

Today thousands of faculty members, employees and students of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur took out a rally from Abbasia Campus to University Chowk to highlight the identity and sanctity of Jamia Islamia. The rally was led by female teachers and students. On this occasion, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar said that it is very gratifying that the teachers and employees of the university, especially the women, have come forward for the sanctity and honor the university and are giving a clear message to the whole world that the Islamia University of Bahawalpur is a well-known and credible teaching and learning. This is a world-class educational institution for teaching, from which thousands of graduates are performing their duties in various fields of life. On this occasion, the participants carried different banners and placards with different slogans written, including the Quranic verse, "If a wicked person gives you news, then investigate it thoroughly (1) lest a nation be deceived by ignorance.", "The Islamia University of Bahawalpur has a zero tolerance policy on drugs and sexual harassment", "Those who take away the right to education from  daughters of soil should be exposed", "The sanctity and respect of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur is the responsibility of all sections of the society" and "Fake news and baseless allegations are painful for all of us", were the slogans displayed on this occasion.

آج اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کے ہزاروں اساتذہ، ملازمین اور طلباء وطالبات نے جامعہ اسلامیہ کے تشخص اور تقدس کواجاگر کرنے کے لیے عباسیہ کیمپس سے یونیورسٹی چوک تک ریلی نکالی گئی۔ ریلی کی قیادت خواتین اساتذہ اور طالبات نے کی۔ اس موقع پر وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نوید اختر نے کہا کہ یہ بات انتہائی خوش آئند ہے کہ جامعہ کے اساتذہ، ملازمین خصوصاً خواتین یونیورسٹی کی حرمت اور تقدس کے لیے سامنے آئی ہیں اور پوری دنیا کوواضح پیغام دے رہی ہیں کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور درس و تدریس کے لیے عالمی معیار کی درس گاہ ہے جہاں سے فارغ التحصیل ہزاروں افراد مختلف شعبہ ہائے زندگی میں اپنے فرائض سرانجام دے رہے ہیں۔ اس موقع پر شرکاء نے مختلف بینرز اور پلے کارڈز اٹھا رکھے تھے جن پر مختلف نعرے درج تھے جن میں قرآنی آیت " اگر تمہیں کوئی فاسق خبر دے تو تم اس کی اچھی طرح تحقیق کرلیا کرو (۱) ایسا نہ ہو کہ نادانی میں کسی قوم کو ایذا پہنچا دو پھر اپنے لئے پریشانی اٹھاؤ۔ الحجرات آیۃ 49:"6، "اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور منشیات اور جنسی ہراسانی پر زیرو ٹالرنس پالیسی رکھتی ہے"، " وسیب کی بیٹیوں سے تعلیم کا حق چھیننے والوں کو بے نقاب کیا جائے"، "اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کا تقدس اور احترام معاشرے کے تمام طبقات کی ذمہ داری ہے" اور "فیک نیوز اور بے بنیاد الزامات ہم سب کے لئے تکلیف دہ ہیں "، جیسے سلوگن درج تھے۔
