Special meeting between Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran and Federal Minister Mr. Ahsan Iqbal.

Federal Minister for Planning and Development and Special Initiatives, Mr. Ahsan Iqbal, has said that all possible assistance will be provided for the revival and completion of the stalled development projects of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. The Federal Minister expressed these views during a special meeting with the Vice Chancellor of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Professor Dr. Muhammad Kamran, at the Ministry of Planning and Development, Pakistan Secretariat, Islamabad today. The Federal Minister said that South Punjab, especially Bahawalpur, has a special status in the field of higher education. The development projects of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur are of importance for the promotion of higher education and social and economic development in the region. On this occasion, Professor Dr. Kamran presented the revised PC-1 worth Rs. 6502.056 million to the Federal Minister, Mr. Ahsan Iqbal, regarding these long-pending development projects. The Federal Minister assured his full support and cooperation on these development projects in a very positive manner.  The Vice Chancellor said that the pending projects are of key importance for the development of Islamia University of Bahawalpur and Bahawalpur region, especially for higher education and employment at the doorstep of talented youth. These projects include the Academic Block of the Department of Physics, the Academic Block of Mechanical Engineering, the Academic Block of South Punjab Agro Industry and Environment, the Academic Block of Bahawalnagar Campus and other development projects of strategic importance. It is hoped that with the support and endorsement of the Federal Minister for Planning and Development and Special Initiatives, the federal government will soon release funds for these development projects and work on them will begin soon.

وفاقی وزیر پلاننگ اینڈ ڈویلپمنٹ اور اسپیشل انیسییٹوز جناب احسن اقبال نے کہا ہے کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے رکے ہوے ترقیاتی منصوبوں کی بحالی اور تکمیل کے لیے ہر طرح کی مدد کی جائے گی۔ وفاقی وزیر نے ان خیالات کا اظہار آج وزارت پلاننگ اینڈ ڈویلپمنٹ پاک سیکریٹیریٹ اسلام آباد میں وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران سے خصوصی ملاقات کے دوران کیا۔ وفاقی وزیر نے کہا کہ جنوبی پنجاب خاص طور بہاولپور کی اعلٰی تعلیم کے شعبے میں خاص حیثیت ہے۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے ترقیاتی منصوبے علاقے میں اعلٰی تعلیم کے فروغ اور سماجی اور معاشی ترقی کے لیئے اہمیت کے حامل ہیں۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر کامران نے اس موقع پر وفاقی وزیر جناب احسن اقبال کو ان زیر التواء ترقیاتی منصوبے سے متعلق 6502.056 ملین روپے مالیت کا نظرثانی شدہ پی سی ون پیش کیا۔ وفاقی وزیر نے انتہائی مثبت انداز میں ان  ترقیاتی منصوبوں پر اپنی جانب سے مکمل حمایت اور تعاون کا یقین دلایا۔ وائس چانسلر نے کہا کہ زیرالتوا منصوبے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور اور خطہ بہاولپور کی ترقی خاص طور پر ہونہار نوجوانوں کی اپنی دہلیز پر اعلٰی تعلیم اور روزگار کے لئے کلیدی اہمیت کے حامل ہیں۔ ان منصوبوں میں شعبہ فزکس کا اکیڈمک بلاک، مکینیکل انجیئنرنگ کا اکیڈمک بلاک، ساوتھ پنجاب ایگرو انڈسٹری اینڈ انوائرمنٹ کا اکیڈمک بلاک، بہاولنگر کیمپس کا اکیڈمک بلاک اور دیگر اسٹریٹجک اہمیت کے ترقیاتی منصوبے شامل ہیں۔ آمید ہے کہ وفاقی وزیر پلاننگ اینڈ ڈویلپمنٹ اور اسپیشل انیسییٹوز کی تائید اور حمایت سے وفاقی حکومت جلد ان ترقیاتی منصوبوں کے لئے فنڈز کا اجراء کرے گی اور ان پر جلد کام کا آغاز ہوجائے گا۔
