Session on “Skill Development through Youth Ambassadors and Youth Entrepreneurial Pitch Competition” held at the IUB

The Islamia University of Bahawalpur in collaboration with Women Development Department organized an awareness session on Skill Development through Youth Ambassador and Youth Entrepreneurial Pitch Competition initiatives of the Government of Punjab held at the Jinnah Auditorium Baghdad ul Jadeed Campus, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Pakistan. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran Vice Chancellor presided the session. In his address, the VC appreciated the initiatives taken by the Women Development Department, Government of the Punjab for capacity building and enhancing the skills in women. He also appreciated the efforts of Prof. Dr. Rubina Bhati Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences Chairperson Fatima Jinnah Women Leadership Centre and Dr. Sarfraz Batool Director of the Women Development Centre for conducting a successful awareness session. The session was aimed to inform female faculty and students about the Skills Development through Youth Ambassador Program and Youth Entrepreneurial Pitch Competition initiatives encouraging female students to apply and participate in these opportunities. Mazhar Hussain Gender Monitoring Specialist Government of Punjab, thoroughly described the details of these initiatives and answered questions from the female students. The seminar was conducted by Aleena Tariq Lecturer Department of English Literature. A large number of female students from different faculties, along with their senior female teachers and female Incharge Students Affairs, attended the event. اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور میں ویمن ڈویلپمنٹ ڈیپارٹمنٹ کے تعاون سے گزشتہ دنوں حکومت پنجاب کے یوتھ ایمبیسیڈر اور یوتھ انٹرپرینیورئل پچ کمپیٹیشن اقدامات کے ذریعے سکل ڈویلپمنٹ کے بارے میں آگاہی سیشن کا انعقاد کیا گیا۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران وائس چانسلر نے اجلاس کی صدارت کی اور اپنے خطاب میں ویمن ڈویلپمنٹ ڈیپارٹمنٹ حکومت پنجاب کے اقدامات کو سراہا۔ انہوں نے ایک کامیاب آگاہی سیشن کے انعقاد پر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر روبینہ بھٹی ڈین فیکلٹی آف سوشل سائنسز کی چیئرپرسن فاطمہ جناح ویمن لیڈرشپ سنٹر اور ویمن ڈویلپمنٹ سنٹر و آئی یو بی سکول آف سٹیٹ سائنسز کی ڈائریکٹر ڈاکٹر سرفراز بتول کی کاوشوں کو بھی سراہا۔ سیشن کا مقصد خواتین فیکلٹی اور طالبات کو یوتھ ایمبیسیڈر پروگرام اور یوتھ انٹرپرینیورئل پچ کمپیٹیشن کے اقدامات کے ذریعے ہنر مندی کے فروغ کے بارے میں آگاہ کرنا تھا۔ اس تقریب میں مختلف فیکلٹیز سے طالبات کی بڑی تعداد اپنی سینئر خواتین اساتذہ اور خواتین انچارج سٹوڈنٹس افیئرز کے ساتھ موجود تھیں۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نسرین اختر ڈین فیکلٹی آف آن لائن اینڈ ڈسٹنس ایجوکیشن پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اریبہ خان ڈائریکٹر فنانشل اسسٹنس پروفیسر ڈاکٹر ثمر فہد ڈاکٹر عالیہ نذیر ڈاکٹر عائشہ شوکت ڈاکٹر فرحین مکشوف ڈاکٹر نووین سہیل ڈاکٹر بشری ثمرین ڈاکٹر بشریٰ صادق ڈاکٹر شبانہ نذر ڈاکٹر مریم عباس سہروردی اور فاطمہ مظاہر موجود تھیں۔
