Renowned journalist and intellectual Mr. Sohail Warraich visited the Islamia University of Bahawalpur.

Renowned journalist, columnist, analyst, anchor and intellectual Sohail Warraich visited the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. On this occasion, he attended a special seminar and cultural event and had a special discussion with teachers and students on the role of media, higher education and universities. In the Vice Chancellor’s Office, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences Professor Dr. Rubina Bhatti, Chairman Department of Social Work Professor Dr. Asif Naveed Ranjha, Dr. Jam Sajjad Hussain, Associate Professor Media Studies and Focal Person, and Dr. Shahzad Ahmed Khalid, Director Public Relations met with Sohail Warraich and presented the university shield on behalf of Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Muhammad Kamran. Later, Sohail Warraich delivered a special speech at a seminar held at Ghulam Muhammad Ghotvi Hall on the topic of the war of narrative and the role of media in shaping public opinion. He said that the progress made at the global level in the present era is due to universities. Islamia University of Bahawalpur is a historical university of the country and has a religious and national identity.  He appreciated the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran for the development and stability of the university. On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Rubina Bhatti thanked the visiting guest on behalf of the faculty and students and thanked for his visit to the university. Prof. Dr. Asif Naveed Ranjha presented an overview of the history and different periods of the university. Dr. Jam Sajjad Hussain, in his welcome remarks, appreciated the distinguished guest’s prominent role and services in the Pakistani media. On this occasion, Sohail Warraich answered the questions of the students and praised their interest in education as well as national and international affairs.

بہاولپور (پ ر) معروف صحافی کالم نگار تجزیہ کار اینکر اور دانشور سہیل وڑائچ نے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کا دورہ کیا۔ اس موقع پر انہوں نے خصوصی سیمینار اور کلچرل ایونٹ میں شرکت کی اور اساتذہ و طلباوطالبات کے ساتھ میڈیا اعلی تعلیم اور جامعات کے کردار پر خصوصی گفتگو کی۔ وائس چانسلر آفس میں ڈین فیکلٹی آف سوشل سائنسز پروفیسر ڈاکٹر روبینہ بھٹی چئیرمین شعبہ سوشل ورک پروفیسر ڈاکٹر آصف نوید رانجھا ڈاکٹر جام سجاد حسین ایسوسی ایٹ پروفیسر میڈیا سٹڈیز و فوکل پرسن اور ڈاکٹر شہزاد احمد خالد ڈائریکٹر پبلک ریلیشنز نے سہیل وڑائچ سے ملاقات کی اور وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران کی جانب سے یونیورسٹی شیلڈ پیش کی۔ بعد ازاں سہیل وڑائچ نے غلام محمد گھوٹوی ہال میں بیانئے کی جنگ اور رائے عامہ کی تشکیل میں میڈیا کے کردار کے موضوع پر منعقدہ سیمینار میں خصوصی خطاب کیا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ دور حاضر میں عالمی سطح پر  ہونیوالی ترقی جامعات کی ہی مرہون منت ہے۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور ملک کی ایک تاریخی جامعہ ہے اور دینی و قومی تشخص کی حامل ہے۔ انہوں نے یونیورسٹی کی ترقی و استحکام کے لئےوائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران کی لیڈرشپ کو سراہا۔ اس موقع پر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر روبینہ بھٹی نے وائس چانسلر فیکلٹی اور طلباوطالبات کی جانب سے جامعہ آمد پر انکا شکریہ ادا کیا۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر آصف نوید رانجھا نے جامعہ کی تاریخ اور مختلف ادوار کا جائزہ پیش کیا۔ ڈاکٹر جام سجاد حسین نے استقبالیہ کلمات میں معزز مہمان کے پاکستانی میڈیا میں نمایاں کردار اور خدمات کو سراہا۔ اس موقع پر سہیل وڑائچ نے طلبا وطالبات کے سوالات کے جوابات دیئے اور تعلیم کے ساتھ ساتھ قومی اور عالمی معاملات میں انکی دلچسپی کی تعریف کی۔
