Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, Vice-Chancellor of The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, stated while speaking to Muhammad Ali Zameer, Station Manager of the National News Agency, that The Islamia University of Bahawalpur is the largest university in South Punjab, with admissions currently open for 325 programs. Global trends have shifted; whether in Arts, Sciences, or Liberal Arts, Artificial Intelligence (AI) content has been integrated into all disciplines. The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has developed a comprehensive course on Artificial Intelligence that is mandatory for all departments and programs, and the university is actively implementing this requirement. We have already introduced reforms in the Department of Media Studies and are launching a program focused on Digital Media and Artificial Intelligence. Global media is advancing rapidly due to AI, and our faculty members have integrated AI courses into the Media Studies curriculum. The Vice-Chancellor noted that an AI program has also been launched in conjunction with the subject of Climate Change at the university, and it is proving highly successful; given that climate change is a critical issue, AI enables superior forecasting and planning in this area. Additionally, a program combining Mathematics with AI has recently been launched. AI tools are being utilized to tackle complex mathematical problems, and mathematics plays a fundamental role in both AI and information technology. Similarly, the AI ​​department has introduced a key subject quantum computing starting with the Fall 2026 admissions. Admissions are currently open at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur across various disciplines including Engineering, Arts, Sharia & Law, Nursing, Pharmacy, Social Sciences, Agriculture, Business, and Veterinary & Animal Sciences and these programs are also being integrated with artificial intelligence. The Vice-Chancellor emphasized that the university is focusing on enhancing the aptitude and competitiveness of students from South Punjab by addressing minor deficiencies in English proficiency, thereby ensuring quality education and effective communication skills. After the 'Marka-e-Haq Bunyan-un-Marsoos', the Corps Commander of Bahawalpur was invited to a tech expo at the university; upon being informed that we not only facilitate student projects but also professionally prepare them for their future careers, he announced the provision of advanced computers. These state-of-the-art computers have been delivered, and the AI ​​lab was subsequently inaugurated by him. Students are now conducting cutting-edge work in this advanced laboratory. In addition to projects in medical science, robotics, and agriculture, initiatives in cybersecurity are also helping to develop a skilled workforce. Furthermore, our scientists are collaborating with the NDMA on climate change-related matters. During last year's severe floods, which heavily impacted the population of Bahawalpur and surrounding areas, the university organized free veterinary medical camps for animals alongside humanitarian aid efforts; these camps provided free medicines, rations, and clothing to the affected people. Professor Dr. Asif Naveed Ranjha, Chairman of the Social Work Department and Focal Person for the Flood Relief Cell, played a pivotal role in providing extensive assistance to the flood victims. To mitigate flood risks, the government needs to construct reservoirs and relocate settlements away from riverine areas to minimize the loss of human life. Responding to a question, the Vice-Chancellor mentioned a recent conference held on World Water Day, noting that the university's Departments of Botany and Zoology, along with the Cholistan Institute of Desert Studies, are collaborating with all stakeholders to preserve biodiversity specifically flora and fauna and foster a healthy natural environment.

پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور نے نیشنل نیوز ایجنسی( اے پی پی)ایسوسی ایٹڈ پریس آف پاکستان کے اسٹیشن منیجر محمد علی ضمیر سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے کہا ہے کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور جنوبی پنجاب کی سب سے بڑی یونیورسٹی ہے اس میں 325  پروگرامز  میں داخلے جاری ہیں۔ دنیا کا رجحان تبدیل ہو چکا ہے چاہے آرٹس سائنس ہو یا لبرل سائنس جو بھی مضامین ہیں ان میں اے آئی ارٹیفیشل انٹیلیجنس مواد شامل ہو چکا ہے۔ہائیر ایجوکیشن کمیشن کی جانب سے مصنوعی ذہانتپر ایک مکمل کورس بنا کر دیا گیا  ہے جو تمام شعبہ جات اور پروگراموں کے لیے لازمی ہے اور جامعہ اسلامیہ اس پر بھی عملدر آمد کر رہی ہے ۔ جامعہ میں ہم پہلے ہی میڈیا سٹڈیز کے شعبے میں تبدیلی لا چکے ہیں اور ڈیجیٹل میڈیا آرٹیفیشل انٹیلیجنس کا پروگرام شروع کر رہے ہیں۔  دنیا کا میڈیا اے آئی کے باعث بہت تیزی سے ترقی کر رہا ہے اور ہمارے اساتذہ نے اے آئی کورسز کو میڈیا سٹڈیز کے ساتھ ضم  کیا ہے ۔ وائس چانسلر نے بتایا کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور میں کلائمیٹ چینج کے مضمون کےساتھ بھی اے آئی کا پروگرام شروع کر چکے ہیں اور بڑا کامیاب جا رہا ہے کلائمیٹ چینج بھی ایک بہت ہی اہم ایشو ہے اس کو آرٹیفیشل انٹیلیجنس کے ساتھ بہترین فورکاسٹنگ اور پلاننگ کر سکتے ہیں۔ حال ہی میں میتھمیٹکس ود اے آئی کا پروگرام شروع کیا گیا ہے ۔ اے آئی کے ٹول کو استعمال کرتے ہوئے ریاضی کے دقیق سوالات کئے جا رہے ہیں اور دراصل اے آئی اور انفارمیشن ٹیکنالوجی میں ریاضی بنیادی کردار کی حامل ہے ۔اسی طرح اے آئی ڈیپارٹمنٹ نے کوانٹم کمپیوٹنگ جیسے اہم سبجیکٹ کو فال 2026 کے داخلوں میں شروع کر دیا ہے۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور میں انجینئرنگ آرٹس شریعہ لاء نرسنگ فارمیسی سوشل سائنسز ایگریکلچر بزنس ویٹرنری اینڈ اینیمل سائنسز میں داخلے جاری ہے اور ان پروگراموں کو بھی مصنوعی ذہانت سے جوڑا جا رہا ہے ۔وائس چانسلر نے کہا کہ وہ معیاری تعلیم اور موثر ابلاغی مہارت کا مطلب یہ ہے کہ انگریزی میں تھوڑی بہت کمی بیشی کو دور کر کے جنوبی پنجاب کے طلباء وطالبات کی قابلیت اور تقابلی صلاحیت کو بڑھانے پر خصوصی توجہ دے رہے ہیں ۔ معرکہ حق بنیان مرصوص کےبعد اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپورمیں ایک ٹیک ایکسپو میں کور کمانڈر بہاول پورکو مدعو کیا اور ان کو بتایا کہ ہم صرف سٹوڈنٹس کے پراجیکٹس تیار نہیں کراتے بلکہ پروفیشنلی بھی ان کو مستقبل کی عملی زندگی کے لیے تیار کراتے ہیں تو انہوں نے ہمیں ایڈوانسڈ کمپیوٹرز دینے کا اعلان کیا۔ یہ اسٹیٹ اف دی آرٹ کمپیوٹر دے دیئے گئے ہیں جس سے ہم نے اے ائی لیب کا انہی سے افتتاح بھی کروایا تھا۔ اس ایڈوانسڈ لیبارٹری میں طلباو طالبات سٹیٹ اف دی ارٹ  کام کر رہے ہیں۔  میڈیکل سائنس روبوٹکس اور ایگری  پراجیکٹ کے علاوہ سائبر سکیورٹی کے پروجیکٹس سے بھی ہیومن ریسورس تیار ہو رہی ہے۔کلائمیٹ چینج پر این ڈی ایم اے کے ساتھ ہمارےسائنسدان منسلک ہیں۔ گزشتہ سال بڑا سیلاب تھا بہاول پور اور اردگرد کے علاقوں کی آبادی بہت زیادہ متاثر ہوئی تو یونیورسٹی نے انسانی دیکھ بھال کے ساتھ ساتھ جانورں کے لیے بھی ویٹرنری کے فری میڈیکل کیپ لگائے جہاں لوگوں کو مفت ادویات کی فراہمی کے ساتھ راشن اور کپڑوں کا بھی بندوبست کیا گیا۔ سوشل ورک ڈیپارٹمنٹ کے چیئرمین پروفیسر ڈاکٹر آصف نوید رانجھا جو فلڈ ریلیف سیل کے فوکل پرسن بھی ہیں ،  نے سیلاب متاثرین کوبھرپورمدد فراہم کی۔ سیلاب کی روک تھام کے لیے حکومت کو  ریزروائر کی ضرورت ہے اور دریائی علاقوں سے آبادیوں کو دور کرنا چاہیے تاکہ سیلاب سے کم سے کم انسانی نقصان  ہو۔ ایک سوال کے جواب میں وائس چانسلر نے بتایاکہ حال ہی میں  واٹر ڈے کی ایک کانفرنس منعقد کی تھی جہاں تمام سٹیک ہولڈرز کو فلورا اور فانا بائیو ڈائیورسٹی کو محفوظ کرکے قدرتی ماحول کے قیام کے لیے  ہمارے باٹنی اور زوالوجی ڈیپارٹمنٹ و چولستان انسٹیٹیوٹ آف ڈیزرٹ اسٹڈیز ملکر کام کر رہے ہیں۔
