Pakistan Post has issued a commemorative stamp of Rs 100 on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. On this occasion, Professor Dr. Muhammad Kamran, Vice Chancellor of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, said that the year 2025 is a milestone in the history of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. In the year 1925, the state of Nawab Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan Abbasi established Jamia Abbasia Bahawalpur, which is today shining on the national and international horizon as a renowned public sector university. Pro Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Abdul Rauf said that the 100th anniversary celebrations of the establishment of Jamia Abbasia have been going on since last year and the teachers, students, alumni and civil society are celebrating these events in a grand manner. Jamia Abbasia Bahawal, established in 1925, was actually founded in 1879 by Nawab Muhammad Sadiq IV in the form of a Madrasa Sadr Diniyat, which developed and became known as Jamia Abbasia. In 1964, it was given the status of Jamia Islamia Bahawalpur under the West Pakistan Ordinance. In 1975, the Punjab government upgraded Jamia Islamia to a fully chartered public sector university. Islamia University of Bahawalpur currently has 6 campuses located in Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Rahim Yar Khan and Liaquatpur. At present, 40,000 on-campus and 1 lac off-campus students are being educated by 1,200 teachers in 300 subjects. Agriculture and Environment, Engineering, Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence, Sciences, Health and Medical Sciences, Islamic Studies, Languages, Law and Social Sciences are prominent among the faculties established in Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Islamia University of Bahawalpur has a significant cultural, social and economic impact along with the promotion of education at the national and regional levels. This university is promoting Urdu, English, Saraiki, Arabic and Persian languages, as well as providing the nation with educationists, politicians, civil servants, scientists, businessmen and religious scholars. Islamia University of Bahawalpur is the custodian and trustee of the great cultural heritage of the region. The Director General of Pakistan Post, Government of Pakistan, has issued a commemorative stamp to highlight the hundred-year historical importance of Islamia University of Bahawalpur. The image of the building of the Faculty of Agriculture and Environment has been highlighted on this commemorative stamp, which shows the regional and national importance of Islamia University of Bahawalpur and its prominent role in agricultural research and economy.

پاکستان پوسٹ نے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کی 100 سالہ تقریبات کی مناسبت سے 100 روپے کا یادگاری ٹکٹ جاری کیا ہے۔ اس موقع پر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور نے کہا ہے کہ سال 2025 اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کی تاریخ میں سنگ میل کی حیثیت رکھتا ہے۔ سال 1925 میں نواب سر صادق محمد خان عباسی والی ریاست نے جامعہ عباسیہ بہاولپور قائم کی جو آج ایک نامور پبلک سیکٹر یونیورسٹی کے طور پر قومی اور عالمی افق پر جگمگا رہی ہے۔ پرو وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر عبدالروف نے کہا ہے کہ جامعہ عباسیہ کے قیام کی 100 سالہ تقریبات گزشتہ سال سے جاری ہیں اور اساتذہ کرام طلباوطالبات ایلومینائی اور سول سوسائٹی ان تقریبات کو بھرپور انداز سے منارہی ہے۔ 1925 میں قائم ہونے والی جامعہ عباسیہ بہاول کی بنیاد دراصل 1879 میں نواب محمد صادق چہارم نے مدرسہ صدر دینیات کی شکل میں رکھی جو ترقی کرکے جامعہ عباسیہ کہلائی۔ 1964 میں ویسٹ پاکستان آرڈیننس کے تحت اسے جامعہ اسلامیہ بہاولپور کا درجہ دے دیا گیا۔ سال 1975 میں حکومت پنجاب نے جامعہ اسلامیہ کو اپ گریڈ کرکے مکمل پبلک سیکٹر یونیورسٹی چارٹرڈ کا درجہ دے دیا۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے اسوقت 6 کیمپسز ہیں جو بہاولپور, بہاولنگر، رحیم یار خان اور لیاقت پور میں قائم ہیں۔ اس وقت 40000 آن کیمپس اور 1 لاکھ سے زائد آف کیمپس طلباوطالبات کو 1200 اساتذہ کرام 300 مضامین میں زیور تعلیم سے آراستہ کررہے ہیں۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور میں قائم فیکلٹیز میں ایگریکلچر اینڈ اینوائرمنٹ، انجینئرنگ، انفارمیشن ٹیکنالوجی اینڈ آرٹیفیشنل اینٹیلیجنس، سائینسز، ہیلتھ اینڈ میڈیکل سائنسز، اسلامک اسٹڈیز، لینگوئجز، لاء اور سوشل سائنسز نمایاں ہیں۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کا قومی اور علاقائی سطح پر فروغ تعلیم کے ساتھ ساتھ ثقافتی، سماجی اور معاشی اثر نمایاں ہے۔ یہ جامعہ اردو، انگریزی ، سرائیکی، عربی اور فارسی زبانوں کی ترویج کے ساتھ ساتھ قوم کو ماہرین تعلیم ، سیاست دان، سول سرونٹس، سائنس دان، بزنس مین، اور مذہبی سکالرز فراہم کررہی ہے۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور علاقے کے عظیم تہذیبی ورثے کی پاسدار اور امین ہے۔ ڈائریکٹر جنرل پاکستان پوسٹ حکومت پاکستان نے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کی سو سالہ تاریخی اہمیت کو اجاگر کرنے کے لیے یادگاری ٹکٹ جاری کیا۔ اس یادگاری ٹکٹ پر فیکلٹی آف ایگریکلچر اینڈ اینوائرمنٹ کی عمارت کی تصویر کو نمایاں کیا گیا ہے جو اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کی علاقائی اور قومی اہمیت اور زرعی تحقیق و معیشت میں نمایاں کردار کو ظاہر کرتی ہے۔
