Mr. Muhammad Athar Bashir, a PhD student at IBMAS, had a successful public defense.

The public defense of PhD scholar Mr. Muhammad Athar Bashir was successfully held on 13th July 2025 at the Institute of Business Management & Administrative Sciences (IBM&AS), Faculty of Management Sciences and Commerce, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB).

Mr. Athar Bashir conducted his doctoral research under the supervision of Dr. Shoaib Imtiaz, Assistant Professor at IBM&AS, IUB. His dissertation, titled "Factors Affecting Adoption of Mobile Banking: Integrating Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2 (UTAUT2) with Herd Behavior & Service Quality", offered valuable insights into the behavioral and technological factors driving mobile banking adoption.

The defense was honored by the presence of esteemed academics including Dr. Muhammad Ziaullah, Associate Professor, Department of Business Administration, Ghazi University, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Dr. Muhammad Nazim, Associate Professor and PhD Coordinator at IBM&AS.

The event was also graced by the External Examiner, senior faculty members, and a large audience of scholars and students from various departments. The scholar’s extensive and innovative research work was highly appreciated by the examiners and Prof. Dr. Jawad Iqbal, Dean, Faculty of Management Sciences and Commerce, IUB.

Following a successful defense and commendation of his scholarly contribution, Mr. Muhammad Athar Bashir was declared qualified for the award of the Doctoral Degree.
